  1. Thank you for clarifying for me.
  2. Are you saying that eating a burger or a pizza should be forbidden on a luxury cruise ship or am I reading your comment incorrectly????
  3. Having been on both, I know which one is way better. Maybe you need to try both and then decide!!
  4. Here is how it worked for me- on one cruise the prices were the same so I canceled my veranda suite and then booked a Concierge suite two categories under Penthouse C and I was upgraded to the Penthouse C. Additional cost was $2400 for both of us. On the other cruise the prices had gone up about $250pp so it was $3000 for both for the Penthouse. I hope this answers your question.
  5. We are very familiar with having a butler on all Silversea cabins. In 2025 we have two cruises in a Penthouse cabin on RSSC. Can I correctly assume that the butler's duties are similar on both lines? Can anybody who has had a butler on both lines comment, please.
  6. As a reference point- we have two cruises on RSSC in 2025. They were booked last year. Both cruises offer the 2 category upgrade. I was able to cancel both cruises (was on a veranda cabin) and rebook and got a Penthouse C for $1200 pp and $1500 pp and naturally we took the offer. On Silversea, they will not let me cancel and rebook when they have a similar promotion. Points for RSSC over Silversea in my opinion!
  7. Interesting comments- we have spent 30 days on the Nova in August and November. We felt the service and food was great. We never got a cold meal. Both of our cruises were FULL.
  8. There was no connecting door regardless of what the deck plan shows.
  9. We just stayed in 6088 and the aft view was perfect and private.
  10. I was on the Nova in Nov. and ate twice in La Dame. Both nights 2/3 of the tables were empty. I asked the staff and they said they were never full. I think $160 pp is too high and should be a maximum of $100 pp.
  11. Thanks RonRick. I forgot that Costco delivers caviar. Just ordered 2 OZ. of Osetra with the fixin's for $125!! Such a deal and now let's see it is delivered in 2 business days as promised. Happy Holidays!!
  12. Those of us that usually only have caviar on New Years Eve, a rich friend's party or a SS cruise, we NEVER forget Osetra or Beluga- just saying!!
  13. Yes, only because we love caviar and the Osetra is head and shoulders better than the house caviar. If not for the 2 orders of caviar, my answer would be NO. The somewhat nicer house wines are not a big factor for us as we usually buy a nice bottle from the special wine list. The menu on the Nova is the same as the Muse class ships menus. All this being said, we will still go to La Dame at least once on a cruise, regardless of the upcharge.
  14. We ate in La Dame twice in Nov. and agree with your thoughts regarding the $160 upcharge. As I have mentioned before, the house wine they serve is nothing special and the only difference we could find was that the caviar was a much better type and it was Osetra, which is not available on the rest of the ship. I sent Barabra M an email also stating that we thought the upcharge should be $100. Great minds...........
  15. it is on Facebook. I think that's all I can say-sorry.
  16. Rumor mill- I just saw on another website that all the classic ships will change the dress code in 2024 to the current Nova dress code.
  17. Rumor mill- I just saw on another website that all the classic ships will change the dress code in 2024 to the current Nova dress code.
  18. Having just gotten off the Nova, I found all the inside restaurants chilly and I wore a jacket to stay warm.
  19. I got off the Nova on 12-4. Gym hours are 6AM to 8PM. Busy in the early morning and late afternoon. I think 4 threadmills.
  20. I am currently on the Nova and was on in August. You do not have to use your keycard for any restrooms. You just wave you hand in front of the green circle.
  21. We ate twice in La Dame on the Nova in August and are boarding again this Saturday. From our perspective, the menu was very similar to the Moon and Dawn and I only saw two differences on the Nova. The caviar in La Dame was Osetra vs. a cheaper version on the rest of the ship and the wine was only a LITTLE better than the house wines on the rest of the ship. La Dame and Chef's Table are a great place to use up Ship Board Credits. Hard to justify the price increase except I will order 2 servings of Caviar!!
  22. That is correct and I am sure the Ray will be the same.
  23. On the Dawn Salt Lab for cooking classes, there is no place to sit. On the Nova, the Salt Lab is used for cooking classes (free) and expensive dinner in the evenings. I am sure the Ray will be the same and the same dress code.
  24. At least on the Nova, if you didn't bring a jacket, the restaurant usually has one to loan you- problem solved!!
