I too have a dozen cruises with Carnival. My last one before the shutdown was in the summer of 2018, (I had to cancel my one for 2019 due to health problems.) Things had begun to change even before the shutdown but since the shutdown, the quality has declined just like in every industry. But this being said it is important to point out that the prices at least for me are less than the pre-pandemic cruises. I took two cruises last year-one in June and the other right before Thanksgiving. Together they cost about the same as my 2018 cruise. I have two booked for this year one on the Glory in June for a balcony room for three for a base price of $1900 and the second one duringThanksgiving cruise of the Spirit for a base price of $2000 for three. I do not expect the quality to be the same at the lower prices.
Things I have noticed that are different are the production shows are totally different with only a handful of performers, longer wait times while at the table in the main dining room, and generally lower-quality food. (although we still find good food. )
