I email @gsmith at rcclapacc. (Not the right email on purpose)
And he said the cruise ban is over.
They are working hard to get a ship here possibly one over winter?
That would be excellent! Good on you- 1

Only on the invoice, in the cruise fare section you should see REF in some lines e.g. BONUS SAVE REF or SAVE 30 REF

I forgot, if I retroactively want to apply this benefit, will the cruise fare be repriced to current fares?

As for the protocols being nonsensical, they are.
so protest with your $ and don’t cruise 🤷♀️

I'll do that, thanks. I'll be as pleasant as I was to the rep on the phone (sincerely, I was - it's not her fault) - I just have no idea why they would yank around a long-time loyal customer like this.
OP your situation sucks, good luck and please let us know how you go
1 minute ago, Merion_Mom said:Not that it does you any good whatsoever, but as soon as they started cancelling, I took the cash refund for EVERY SINGLE CRUISE without a second thought.
Me too, I was fairly sure that the terrible IT and hit and miss central customer service would not manage the processes well!(Until I caved and took an FCC for a 2022 cruise cancellation…….we will see how that goes 😁)

You call them and you ask. I don't know how they do it, but I called and asked when there was a sale going on and my category was sold out. The lady I spoke with said there had been a reduction, and I received an adjustment. I can only surmise that they maintain some note of a price even when it's sold out and we don't see it.

thank you both and thank you OP - I didn’t know this, really helpful- 1

As I just replied on another part of CC that is discussing this, how do people who go on a trip of this length (or even a100+ days) manage everything? Unless you have someone to live in your house - or at least closely oversee things - take in mail, etc. (BTW what about typical 90-day prescriptions and other meds?)...how does one do this? If you have pets, plants, or other things that take routine care....again...I just have a hard time comprehending the logistics of a trip like this.
We try to travel for 4-5 months at a time and we have engaged house-sitters 3 times to take care of pets and home.
Take extra prescriptions with you - pharmacies can fill them as you travel.

While this is unlikely something I can swing right now I do like that Royal is thinking beyond the regular patterns of the past. Sometimes it seemed like certain ships were permanently glued to a home port destined to sail the same routes every week until eternity.
This creativity, experience and feedback in new places may lead to other opportunities in the future for a larger target market.
Me too, I would love to see new routes

If I go on this cruise, I will definitely do a live thread, just as I did for 53 nights on the Mariner in 2009. Let me know if you want to check out that one and I'll post the link.
🙂
Yes please! I hope you go on this one too!
