Yea, you will need better outside pics of the ship. I did tons of research before booking that cabin but we loved it. Can't see directly down but it's nowhere near obstructed as the cabins further aft.
Those cabins don’t have a sofa right? Did you miss having one? -

I always bring my two bottles and have never been charged corkage. If ever I was I would march straight down to Guest services and have my gratuities removed. That waiter will have cost the entire crew.

I agree!!! We got so lucky with this entire trip....hotel in Nassau dropped by $150 the week before, $340 OBC due to price drop for our cabin, Royal up accepted for the minimum for a Grand Suite and then the cabana was just the cherry on top!! Once in a life time trip for so many reasons but amazing memories. We kept saying that we better enjoy this because it's not "normal" lol
Such great deals, wonderful you had such a great cruise!
I really like reading this sort of good news/positive attitude, thank you for reporting back

There are lounges, but no more unlimited drinks.

Has anyone sailed with one of these cabins recently? Im curious how I can get a lounge chair? Im cruising solo and this is a very pleasant surprise! Id love to be able to lay out here and read a book!
Im also wondering if the bed is by the window in these rooms? Is the headboard on the wall next to the working space?
which ship are you sailing? Harmony had added loungers to those balconies in 2019- 1

We usually drink red, but we think their white Kendall Jackson is probably the best on the list.
Agree, the Kendall is the nicest white option. -
Prefer the Harmony itinerary, as I love Antigua. However both are great itineraries, and I like both ships so I am no help 😁
I would check the amount of time you have in each port though, to help you decide (sometimes port times are reduced in San Juan etc)

Thanks for the review and great images @Russ Lomas!

Yes I miss Radiance Class, I love the Viking Crown Lounge, Solarium and the wonderful aft balcony cabins, last seen on Serenade in December 2019 😢. My first Royal cruise was Radiance, so this class has a special place in my heart.
(also in my 40’s but still love all the bells and whistles of the bigger ships too, Oasis class is my favourite)

Forecast is dire for tomorrow. Gale force winds and rain in Juneau. I’m praying we get lucky again.
Fingers crossed! That famous liquid sunshine 😁. Thanks @Tree_skier for the wonderful photos, ISP looks the same as when I saw it in 2017 (except for the gondola signs)

I don’t get bored on the transpacific routes, even on the smaller ships (I am booked on this TP).
Definitely book at least a balcony though, check in with your roll call friends, and I like at least the 3 night dining package for longer cruises (a change from MDR).
Also you might like to check the NZ cruise preceding the TP if you want to see more NZ, makes a great b2b.

Any idea what number I would ring for the UK? We’ve been D+ for a long time but never knew about the additional benefit of bottles of wine 🙈
you can email the C&A UK (if you can’t find the address use the Australian one crownandanchor.au@rcclapac.com )- 1

Thanks so much for taking us with you, wonderful review so far.

Fortunately, they now sell plastic luggage tag holders which make it less of a craft project and are very sturdy and seamless to insert.
I love these too -

to decide if we should go to Maui again but stay in Wailea (splurge for either the Grand Wailea or the Four Seasons), or go to Kuai. I'd appreciate input from anyone who has been to one or both of these locations.
Wailea is very similar to Kaanapali just a little fancier. I think Kauai is the most beautiful of the islands - amazing snorkelling off the northern beaches, and is more laid back- 2

I’ve even chosen longer layover times in order to explore the new airport fully.
I have done this too 😁, and have also chosen longer layover times to try out the business lounges I haven’t yet visited (last memorable one was Hong Kong which has 4 different and excellent Cathay lounges) 😁I miss flying 😢

it doesn't surprise me people are this misinformed. I will never forget boarding at civitavecchia and a couple did not know what ship they were supposed to be on and couldn't find their folder in their bags with their boarding passes.
