  1. It might be something to do with the Regal. We did overhear that they were going to have corporate come on board to inspect the ship when they dock in Florida at the end of this voyage.
  2. Thanks again for all your help. We are off the ship. We did get copies of the medical reports and her accident statement.
  3. None of the decorations we saw had anything that could be described as political. There were shamrocks, seahorses, cruise ships, portholes with the passengers names. Most of the decorations were held up with magnets not tape.
  4. Thanks for all the responses. We have pictures of where the fall took place, and a video of the loose rails and sections of the stair light strips that are out and dim. We have pictures later in the cruise with the lights now being super bright and all being replaced after the fall. We have a copy of the medical report and my wife's statement. We were denied a copy of the ship's accident report. We have the Platinum insurance, We just want an apology and some form on board credit.
  5. A question for anyone who has fallen and was hurt on board. My wife fell and fractured her ribs the first day at sea in Princess live. We we getting in for morning trivia when she fell and she landed on the top of one of the chairs. Matt the assistant CD came over and helped her up. The venue was poorly lit and the hand rail was loose. We reported it to guest services that night just to have it on record. She was in quite a bit of pain so we made a visit to the medical center the next morning. They took x rays, gave her a prescription for pain medicine and we very nice. That is when ships security showed up. We filled out a statement, they met us at Princess live they took photos of the step and the venue and even my wife's shoes. (Sketchers). We told him to review the tape of the fall and were told he could not do to privacy issues. From there it just went weird. We never heard anything back and had to go to guest services who never did anything. When the doctor read the X ray. We got another weird call from security as he had to file a report with the head office. We never heard a we are sorry once. Having the fractured ribs pretty much ruined our trip. The main question is what should we do now?
  6. There was an an earlier post about this but that is now closed. We just got home today from the March 17th sailing. We were greeted by our room steward on embarkation day and told we could not put anything on the outside of our door. We asked why and he said that he was told by his supervisor to tell guests to not put up any decorations on the door and he was instructed to ask the guest to remove them, then he was told to remove the decorations him self. We asked at guest services and were told that was a new fleet wide policy. We told guest services that this was not stated anywhere on the Princess web site and he just said it was a new fleet wide policy. We saw quite a few door decorations up the first 2 days on board. Slowly they disappeared and by the end of the cruise all of them were gone.
  7. There really is no dress code anymore. We just got off the Regal today we saw men and women in shorts and baseball hats at dinner in the MDR and in the Crown Grill and Sabatini's on formal and casual nights.
  8. Negn, We never had a problem getting a table for 2 at dinner. Go with suekl's advice. Go to the Maitre D and show them your reservations on your app and ask for a table for 2. Then ask for the same one each night. They can also make a table for 4 a 2 top for you. If than does not work then go to guests services.
  9. I love Beulah's collection. We debated over getting our sailor ducks and cowboy ducks. The wife won and we got the sailor ducks. Next batch we will go with the cowboy ducks. There are tons of different ducks to buy on Amazon from armed forces ducks to zombie ducks.
  10. here is a better picture of my duck.
  11. Just Ducky ! Amazon just delivered my ducks this morning, printed out their cards (Avery8871). Got my 16 ducks ready to go.
  12. Thanks Snaxmuppet, The duckpassport page was great. I was able to name, register, printout tags and release my ducks on it. You can even report any found ducks on it.
  13. We are looking at 2 cruise ducks we found last year on the Ruby Princess. We just bought some to hide on our cruise on the Regal Princess in March. Is anyone else hiding ducks on Princess or is this just a Carnival and RCCL thing?
  14. Does anyone know how late before sailing the stock perk app works? We sail in 2 weeks.
  15. Since the roll out of the beverage packages and the Medallion's I think we had one false charge for a drink show up on our account. You are right about checking you account daily. It is very easy to check your account with the machines by the purser's desk just scan your Medallion and print out your statement. We have always done this daily. We have had more false charges show up with the old paper system that Princess used to use. I remember standing at the purser's desk when they had to go through all the paper tags and check the signatures on the tags. As for the beverage count, we just ask the bartender or waiter for the count and they will tell you. We have had the drinks put on just one of our accounts (usually at the MDR) so we just use each others to balance the count out.
  16. If you are not staying on Galveston Island you really would need Lyft or Uber to get to the ship. There are a few hotels on Galveston Island that have a shuttle or free shuttle to the ship. The only problem is when you fly in they do not have the shuttles to the airport. Princess might be able to provide the shuttles for both. I know the can in LA but never tried them in Galveston. We drive in and stay at the Holiday Inn Resort Galveston on the Beach or the San Luis Resort that have a pay shuttle to the ship. This time we are staying at the Tremont hotel and walking to the ship.
  17. It is a Texas sate law regarding the alcohol sales. It is not that you can not buy alcohol, you can buy wine and beer 7 days a week but not hard alcohol on Sunday's. It is a tax thing that the state wants the sales tax for the drinks that are sold on board ship until it is out to sea. The other thing to remember is when you sail back there were 2 nice ladies from the state of Texas that want to charge you tax on any alcohol you bring off the ship. Yes this included my duty free Patron we bought on board.
  18. Sorry it did not work for you. I got it to work on my wife's by using the app on her phone.
  19. You can put the wine opener in your checked bags. More and more great wineries are going to screw tops, so that is what we bring on board with us. We are bringing on Talbot Sleepy Hollow Chardonnay in March with us as long as we do not open it before !
  20. We had the same problem that I could not get the card to be recognized when I tried to book specialty dinning. This is the second time it has happened to us. It was only my wife's card that would work. You could try having your husband try to bottled water. I think that only the person who is on file as the prime card holder can book using the app.
  21. Folks, You used to be able to book specialty dinning before using a credit card. I would highly recommend you do this if you want a reservation as the do fill up. This was the only way on the app. when it first launched. Then when you get on board the pursers staff will issue a credit to your card so you can use your OBC or free dinning credits. The free dinning now is working on the app but only the person who's name is on the credit card can book specialty dinning for the two of you. We just did the last week and my wife had to book our dinning on her phone. I got a weird error message even though the app. showed I had dinning credits.
  22. They had the Riedel glasses on the Ruby last year. The only problem is that the all the glasses had a hole in them. We just asked for a to go glass when we left Vines and went to dinner.
  23. Mary Ann 2, Yes, we got a $ 25.00 dollar credit each. Two glasses of Berringer Chardonnay cost us over 30$ after tax and tip.
