  1. I do not know (yet) if this is on the Carnival brand, however, I had (several times) :

     

    Key Lime Pie Martini

     

    OMG!! So good. Tasted like the pie but the alcohol was not noticeable at all. It was sweet and smooth ~ great drink for the mid afternoon.

  2. My DH and I will be "taste testing" the Carnival Panorama next October for our 44th anniversary.

     

    We have done 1 Disney cruise and 9 Princess cruises.

     

    We are trying out a lot of different main cruise lines and Carnival is first up to bat in October.

     

    I know absolutely very little about Carnival ~ so this will be like a newbie all over again 🙂

  3. As someone who has just spent 2 months trying to "fix" between my Dr.'s office and pharmacy (will not name it but by mail) it frustrating to say the least that nobody can fix or have a good answer.

     

    My Dr's office was just as surprised by how inept this company is. It's still in process after weeks of "communicating" with representatives and even a pharmacist. This started Jan. 10th and it's been 3 months and 2 weeks of trying to get this resolved.

     

    So, with that being experienced, I get why the OP stated what needed to be said. He feels that Princess is shooting themselves in the foot and pointing fingers elsewhere and not fixing what is not working with a program they have decided to go with. It's not good that you cannot get answers to a question even though you have tried and tried.

     

    I am lucky enough to have tried a PVP and she has reached out to make sure that I did not have any issues or questions pre cruise.

  4. Our cruise is coming up in a few weeks. This will be our 9th cruise with Princess, and it's been 27 months since we last got off a cruise ship.

     

    We did get the Plus package. We are not big alcoholic drinkers however we do love our specialty coffees which I personally can drink 3 -4 a day 🙂 . Not to mention sodas and water. Trying to figure out how to make my coffee card last a 15 day cruise was a challenge. Glad I do not have to count daily coffees anymore. 

    We have not done the Plus package (drinks, Wi-Fi and gratuities) ever. This will be an interesting comparison against the other cruise lines we will be on this year and next. Its not that we don't love Princess because we do. Just want to try different lines for itinerary and price differences. Not to mention how we feel while on board.

     

    I expect the plus package will go up as time goes on - hopefully not too much.

    @caribillI agree with you 💯.  Princess has always been our favorite line but I’m thinking of trying another cruiseline if the prices are lower.  It actually makes me sad.  

    We have done mostly Princess and we are going to try all the other big lines. Variety is the spice of life and we want to do a comparison with different lines.

  6. We expected that certain gifts that Princess would give would be curtailed for a while and not surprised at all.

    We usually save the chocolates and give to family.

    We have never had towel animals on a Princess cruise (have done 8 ) so I am not sure where that came from.

    The nice thing about the MDR is that if you want more, all you have to do is ask. The one thing I know for sure about taking a cruise is that you will NOT go hungry 🙂

  8. I too am having no email response from mine.

    Would be nice if someone would let me know what / why this is going on.

    He told me @ the time of booking to send him a copy of my husbands DD214. I did and I keep asking for a response.

    I am thinking that I should move this booking to another TA instead of using Carnival's PVP.

I noticed some things are on it that are not on the ship's wine list and vice versa in terms of being available by the glass. The online version also has descriptions of the wines. I think the dining room has a larger version that includes them.

    ETA:  I wonder if a trick is to manually set the date on your phone to your BD, do the entry in MC App, and then change phone setting to auto set the date.  Might be faster in long run.

    The impression I got putting info in the Medallion Class App was that there were many different individuals (contributors) in the set up. Yes, some of it as I was doing it, made me scratch my head in wonderment.

    Disclaimer. We are milestone cruisers with Princess. Have no problem with the current benefits. Definitely don't want to limit the l laundry benefit.

     

    Isn't it nice to having "normal" discussions going on again?

  13. Question: Why I cannot seem to get the app to acknowledge our acknowledgement of the passenger contract? Got everything else done and currently @ step 2 of 4. Blue lane. Our cruise is in 68 days. 

     

    Should I take the app out and reinstall it? I had orginally installed it 3 months ago.

  14. It used to be that you could use your OBC to make tour reservations w/ Princess.

     

    I haven't tried it yet because we are supposed to go to Hawaii in April, and they just might switch around the itinerary.
