  1. Here’s a few Sky Reef pictures. Walk out the dock to stairs to get in and out of the water. Entry and exit couldn’t be easier. Water shoes are a good idea to walk from your seats to and from the dock. Tequila tasting bar. Massage area is right behind this. The coral 🪸 is spectacular. Healthy and colorful. These were taken in September 2021 when we were on Allure. I haven’t been on a western Caribbean cruise since then, so I hope it is still as good as it was then. For those of you who are divers, I’m told that if you were to swim straight out, you would end up on Yucab reef. I haven’t tried that and am not about to. It would not be a good idea! That ship in the distance is Allure. The white buoys mark some of the edges of the reef. The reef is really shallow in many places, especially at low tide. It’s important to keep track of where your feet are so you don’t damage the beautiful fan coral. The rental fins at Sky Reef are the short ones which do help with that. We did not make advance reservations or go really early, but it was September 2021 with about 2200 people on Allure. We had no trouble getting the table of our choice right by the water. Plus, we were the only ship in port that day. With cruising back in full swing, I think reservations might be a good idea.
  2. It’s about a 10 minute taxi ride. You probably could walk it, but I don’t think it would be a very enjoyable walk. I’ve been having computer issues this week so I haven’t managed to get any pictures where I can post them. Hopefully I’ll manage to get that done now that the computer issues seem to be resolved.
  3. Yep, you and I would have a great time snorkeling together! If there’s a lot of marine life or healthy coral where I am, I’ll just float there watching what’s going on until I see something in the distance that inspires me to start swimming again. I’m actually a long time certified scuba diver, but as I’ve gotten a whole lot older than I used to be I’m finding myself choosing snorkeling over diving for a whole lot of reasons. I haven’t totally given up on diving yet though. I still want to enjoy it while I can. I’m thinking of diving in Grand Cayman on our cruise in April. If you want some really great snorkeling nest time you’re in Cozumel, try Sky Reef! They’re a small beach bar not too far from where Royal ships dock and have several different entry plans to choose from ranging from all inclusive food and drink to the very basic plan we chose which allowed us use of their facilities to snorkel, snorkel gear rental if you need it, one drink each, a 5 minute massage each, and a tequila tasting. I was about to post a few pictures from my underwater camera, but when I went looking for them I realized that I don’t have them accessible in this tablet. I could have sworn I had some here. I’ll go get some moved where Incan get them and post them over the weekend. I need to head to bed before it gets any later. In the meantime check out their website at http://www.skyreefcozumel.com
  4. I’m really enjoying this review! You’re both doing a great job! I’m glad I finally am caught up here. @Ozark_Kid, you and your crew really seem to know how to have a good time! It’s fun cruising along with you! @brillohead, I want to go snorkeling with you! It’s hard to find a snorkel 🤿 buddy who wants to get in the water and snorkel for as long as I do, not even my DH! Maybe some day our paths will cross. 😀
  5. I never expected to get through all 11 pages when I started reading earlier tonight, but once I started reading I was hooked and couldn’t stop! I’m keeping this page open so I can come back later and catch up with you and Carol on the rest of your travels. There’s way too much for me to try and comment on everything in this wonderful review, so I’ll cut straight to the cats 😻. First of all, my condolences 💐 on the loss of your beautiful Snowy. I’m glad you found not just one, but two new cats to rescue and offer to them a wonderful, loving home. I’m so glad you and Carol are still cruising and still traveling the world. I’ll definitely be looking for you at the end of June (or will it be July, I didn’t count the days) on the Celebrity board.
  6. Hi Norris! If you’ve cruised since restart prior to this cruise, I haven’t found it. I was just on YouTube and there you were so here I am. I most definitely have some catching up to do! I’m excited to finally be able to catch up with you and your travels!
  7. Hi, Benny! Obviously I’m late to the party 🎈 but glad to have found my way over here. Disney Dream was our introduction to cruising. We fell in love with it and never looked back. It was great to see the Dream again, even more so through your eyes. We haven’t sailed on Disney in quite a while, but have been talking about adding another Disney cruise back into our schedule. We actually tried to go in December 2021, but our cat sitters weren’t available when we wanted to book Disney. We ended up on Indy, but haven’t stopped thinking about Disney ever since. Seeing the Dream again, and Castaway Cay has me thinking that maybe it’s time……. Thanks for your pictures and review! Wonderful, as always.
  8. I’m loving the live review! Thank you for doing it. Symphony is an awesome ship. I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying her as much as we do. 😎 I’ll definitely be following along with you on the rest of this sailing.
  9. Thanks for yet another great review, Andrew. I’m always glad for the chance to cruise along with you and your family I’m looking forward to following all of you who will be on the Bella cruise. We would have loved to sign up for that one, but there were just too many obligations at home at that time to make it work for us.I hope I can keep up with all of you who will be posting. I’ll be happy to be following along with whatever format you choose, one thread or multiple separate ones. 😀
  10. Thanks for doing this review. I’ve enjoyed following along with you. I’ve marked my calendar to look for you in 2049, hopefully sooner though.
  11. I like your pun! 😂 I don’t think I’d die from a little bit, but I’ve never tested that theory. I don’t want to find out the hard way. The level of sick I would get is bad enough. I am very careful about those cross contamination issues. My biggest concern is generally with anything fried. Many places dump everything that is going to be fried into the same fryer. There is a silver lining to that issue, though. It keeps me from ordering all the fried foods that I love but shouldn’t be eating. I have found fried shrimp, fried mushrooms (another allergen) fried fish, you name it mixed in with my French fries or fried chicken. That’s after informing my server about my allergies. Fortunately, this has never happened on a cruise ship on any of the lines we’ve sailed, but it has happened many times in restraints on shore. Not to me any more, but in DH’s orders. Fortunately, he does not have food allergies. That looks pretty landlocked to me. I want to look out at, and be able to swim in the ocean. Not a pond with salt water and sand around it. We will be there in mid April. I’ll check it out.
  12. This girl and her severe seafood allergies would be the one who would be ordering the pasta, or the chicken, or the oriental! Anything but the seafood! As good as the seafood probably tasted, it’s definitely not worth the risk of having to be hauled off to an ER in Nassau! 😱 In my world fish 🐟 and crustaceans 🦞 are friends, not food! 😂
  13. Too bad you didn’t get to see the sloths. I would have been disappointed too. Glad you didn’t let it ruin your day. Definitely enjoying your writing style! 😀
  14. This is a very very enjoyable review of your Oasis cruise. I am very very late finding it. I will very very definitely be following along the rest of the way with you. 😎
  15. Dan, thank you for a great review! I enjoyed cruising along with you and your family. Can’t wait till the next time! 😀🛳
  16. We just recently got Air Tags thanks to a set of keys with one of those pricey key fobs falling out of DH’s pocket and getting lost. We figured out quickly that since the car wouldn’t start without one of our key fobs in the car that they were in the car. We tore the car apart and couldn’t find them anywhere. The next day we headed out to do some errands. We were about a block away from our house when DH tells me to turn the car around and go home. He slid his hand in between the car seat and center console and his hand landed landed right on the keys! We went back home and I started researching Air Tags. We have not needed them for lost items yet but have run tests with them that were very successful. We’re looking forward to a lot less stress the next time something we’ve tagged goes missing! 😀
  17. I was hoping you would be taking us along with you! Thank you! 😃 I didn’t know or was your birthday 🥳, makes it even better! we have never cruised on either of our birthdays, nor any of the major holidays. We like to celebrate them at home with family and friends who would be unlikely to be able to join us on a cruise. We do like to cruise on our anniversary, which we have done a number of times and will continue to do for as long as we are able to cruise. 🛳 I’m late getting started here, so I’m off to go catch up with you, Lisa, and Owen. You’re here in Florida already and I’m just getting started! Thank you very much for leaving that cold 🥶 weather back in Canada 🇨🇦 when you headed south. The plants in my yard, at least the ones that haven’t frozen to death already are very grateful
  18. I love that they’re serving brunch! We had brunch on our last cruise on Harmony in September on all three sea days. I’m definitely not a morning person, so being able to sleep in until what I consider a decent hour and still be able to sit down to a nice breakfast was a highlight of the cruise for me. I hope brunch continues to be offered!
  19. Thanks for doing this review, @Rubyfisch. I’m enjoying cruising along with you.
  20. Thanks for doing this review! I remember your family review from your Harmony cruise a while back that was a very enjoyable read. I also thought your kids looked familiar in the picture here before you mentioned the Harmony review. I’m looking forward to cruising along with you and your immediate family again. This cruise should be fun! 🛳
  21. Thanks, @BecciBoo, for the Odyssey review. We will be sailing her in April and I can’t wait! In the meantime, the Odyssey reviews Odyssey reviews I’m finding will have to carry me through until April, so I can’t get enough of them.
