Ok, I assumed since you cruised Carnival, you be familiar with their loyalty program. The program starts at blue and goes up to diamond. The higher the tier, the better the deals. The person in question should have no problems getting the OBC since it's a VIFP rate and not a casino offer.

That's a good point. We usually get balcony offers and have taken quite a few of those. Carnival has certainly scaled back on their offers...

We have 2 cruises on Royal in 2024. Sadly, wife is tired of Carnival...

Comes out to less than $25 a day per person. Heck, I spend more then that on lunch every day...😝

We're not sailing on carnival in 2024. Was trying to get my wife to book a much cheaper cruise than our cruises on Royal.

Lunch was free on the Panorama when we cruised in August.

It was the opposite for us on our last Panorama cruise. The pool was freezing cold and the jacuzzi tubs were scalding hot.

We were in a FH cabin back in 2020 right before covid hit. The cabin had 2 bathrooms which is nice when the kids are traveling with you. Don't recall any issues with noise. I don't think your daughter will make any friends in the lounge as the parents watch their kids like a hawk. My kids joined the kids clubs and that's where they met new friends. Literally every day they would get together and do things. The lounge had almost the identical food as the buffet, but for some reason, bacon was never at breakfast. We had to go to the Lido buffet to get my daughter bacon. Oh and you get free coffee and cappuccino in the lounge. Not the best, but it's free. Enjoy your cruise 🙂

I wasn't impressed with Jiji's lunch as everything was premade. So, we never tried the dinner. But, a lot of people have highly recommended it, so maybe next cruise we'll give Jiji's dinner a try.

We have 2 cruises on Royal and a land vacation to the Bahamas next year. Sadly, next year will be the first time in over 20 years we're not doing at least 1 Carnival cruise.

We used to get suites, but now that the kids are older, they want their own room. So, wifey and I will get a balcony and the kids will have an interior across the hall. We enjoyed the larger room with a suite and I miss it now.

We've gotten quite a number of free cabins and DOU in the casino over the last few years. Of all the offers we've gotten, I believe only 2 of them included DOU everywhere. But, those 2 offers were at times where we couldn't cruise. Carnival knows our cruise schedule and those offers were to try to lure us into cruising when we normally wouldn't. Of course, this is just a working theory. Who knows how Carnival sends out offers...

I wonder if the person talking about california tipping laws knows it wouldn't apply to carnival since they not a US based company?
