  1. Not only charging for the second lobster but charging a gratuity for dining room service for which the gratuity is already paid.
  2. Looking to find out if the Leonardo grand harbor hotel in Southampton offers transportation to the cruise port.
  3. The overarching point is that there are exceptional/extraordinary/atypical situations that the cruise should take into account on a case by case basis and in the interest of good customer service take care of affected passengers accordingly.
  4. Agree the is poor customer service and the apparent unwillingness to carry through with a verbal commitment made onboard is concerning as I would definitely file a complaint to senior Celebrity management. We have an upcoming Panama Canal cruise and though a certain amount of ships are doing full and partial crossings I would not be shocked if the water levels decrease to the point that they cancel the Panama Canal crossing portion of the cruise but if they do certainly expect some consideration whether they are contractually obligated or not.
  5. We use a term in business- “revenue enhancement”. The whole cruise industry is definitely in the mode of charging for items that used to be included as well as charging more for items that currently are an extra charge for if people are willing to pay X then they may be willing to pay Y (or at least some people will).
  6. You can pick up a loaner cruise ship at the service shop.
  7. Also ample time for Celebrity to jack up the price again. Additionally not interested in having dinner at 8 PM or later because the more desirable times are booked or someone else has more priority, more pull or tipped the Maître d'.
  8. Celebrity is certainly taking a whatever the traffic will bear approach to Specialty Restaurant as opposed to a cost + approach for instance. Price it high and snag as many as you can and then lower the enough to keep restaurant capacity and profitability high.
  9. An image of the Golden Arches is the logo of McDonalds; go on their website and it will probably ring a bell.
  10. Is the Eden Cafe on Beyond open for lunch on embarkation day?
  11. Bartender does not participate in the gratuity pool and the point is moot as the Bartender tip is added automatically on a per order basis.
  12. Agreed, plus receiving no credit for the meal already paid for via the cruise fee- a triple whammy.
  13. Baseline, it offers one more HH venue on some nights and though not mentioned there may be some type of snacks. There is no reasoned way to critique until it is actually enacted and live.
  14. We decided to cancel our dining package based on the feedback and then just book speciality restaurants at full price at times we want to eat. We had our TA handle this in advance of our upcoming Jan ‘24 cruise to avoid the hassle of doing all this once onboard.
  15. I like that approach as it is very disingenuous of Celebrity to sell specialty restaurant packages in advance that do not allow you to actually book the restaurants until onboard and then inform you they are not available- bit of shell game.
  16. Traveling on the Beyond in January and purchased a special restaurant package. My understanding is upon boarding we can reserve the actual restaurants and times as we can’t do that in advance. My question whom actually does this; is there a specific desk setup to handle this or do we need to go to each individual restaurant we want to book.
  17. Yes, just as the Jayhawks were gobbled up in their lost yesterday.
  18. I order a turkey burger and it is always cooked to order.
  19. As many, we have Elite status so I can get Diet Coke at the daily Happy Hour from the bar and put them in the fridge that my cabin steward cleared out on my initial request. Never have to pay for keeping my own drinks in the fridge.
  20. I always ask the cabin stewart to clear out the mini fridge upon check in so I can fill it with my own drinks.
  21. You summed it up perfectly as I will not book Aqua class again until it is unbundled.
  22. Booked on the Beyond for this coming January. I thought the 4 main dining rooms are just open seating and you just show up whenever you like. I understand specific reservations are required for the specialty restaurants.
  23. In the brochure just received in the mail and even on line the only cruise pricing they show is Simply More pricing though I assume you can also book at a cruise only price w/o Simply More, correct?
  24. Did you use the Concierge lounge? Did your husband have any Covid symptoms while on the cruise?
