Not a thing. Royal sent a letter outlining all the "perceived" benefits of the full voyage and that you were free to cancel and rebook the shorter segments if you did not want those perceived benefits. No refund or rollover of existing deposits.
I'll have 5 to give away as well. My liver will kill me but I will end up buying the drink package...at least that's the plan. Might need for some of the lucky ones on the sailing before us to purchase a few bottles the last night of week 1 so we can do a few private parties.
Since it's all an algorithm where they look at the total revenue stream they can generate not only from your bid but then the bid on your cabin and so on I'm pretty sure it would never end in a tie where someone would have to decide. As Biker suggested just bid a lot higher on the GS and keep your fingers crossed
You may get some cancellations there but I was thing more when they release the inventory that is being currently held in the 4 segments. Not sure if you heard but MB is joining you for part of the Asia itinerary
I'll need to keep my eye out for balconies once they release inventory from the 4 segments. I didn't decide until too late so we are in an oceanview which coincidentally was the last time we were in an oceanview on our first cruise with the kids 12 years ago on the Serenade out of San Juan
No it is not. The cabin type has nothing to do with the amount of deposit required. It is solely based on the length of the sailing. 5 days or less it is $100.., 6-9 days it is $250pp and 10 days plus it is $450pp
