Norwegian Epic - Forward or aft?

We just booked a cruise for April, 2018 on the epic. We have a balcony room on Deck 12 but I am wondering if people prefer forward or aft? I would love to hear your opinions.

Forward is nice because you are just a couple flights up to the buffet and a few flights down to the theater. We were on 14 aft and enjoyed it but I didn't feel like we were close to anything except the spa and Spice H2O.

Aft, because you can’t beat the view!

Aft is closer to more of the venues I frequent.

We had a balcony aft on deck 10 back in November on the Epic. We booked a mid ship large balcony on deck 12 this time for our September cruise. We really enjoyed the aft and as others mentioned the view is unforgettable. We just wanted to try a different deck and location this time and I'm sure it will be fine, but we may be missing that aft view. My only forward room was on the Breakaway and i probably would not choose that location again if I had a choice. Have fun.

Aft on Epic, like our other friends said, has fantastic views, however if you are not an early riser you will be woken up with vibrations as you dock. But, that's not a big deal, in my opinion. Forward views are spectacular. Balconies on the side are fantastic. My point, obviously: Its a great ship with great cabins.

I don't think you will go wrong no matter what location you choose.

I don’t think that the OP was referring to a more expensive aft facing balcony. Just a general location for a regular balcony.

We booked at room very close to the elevators that bring you up to the Lido between the pool and the buffet. It was kind of a mid ship location. We spend most of our time on or around the lido deck so this was an ideal location for us.

We were on deck 14 toward the aft (right next to the stairs) and loved it. I’ve never been forward tho so can’t compare
