joshpeters44101 Posted June 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2018 My partner and I have cruised on Celebrity exclusively for the last 10 years. We decided to give Royal a try due to the itinerary. We're on Jewel of the Sea in September for a week cruise out of Rome sailing the Riviera. We usually book Aqua Class or Concierge Class on Celebrity. We decided to splurge for a suite on Royal since that seems to be the closest to what we're used to on Celebrity. Any thoughts on how the service, food, and drinks compare? We're hoping there will be few kids on this cruise since school is back in session for most countries. We really enjoyed the "Blu Dining Room" on Celebrity, so we plan on using the speciality restaurants only on Royal and skip the main dining room. We would appreciate anyone who is willing to share their experience on Jewel of the Seas.

Rare little britain Posted June 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2018 Love Jewel. Been on her 4 times and 2 more booked. Nice ambience, lots of glass. Great hotel director who runs a smooth ship (so to speak). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

NJ&Ozzie Posted June 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2018 Hi, A big Thumbs Up for the Jewel. Excellent Hotel Director (Peter Dimitrov), Officers & crew. Happy Crew - happy guests!! You picked a great ship for a return RCCL cruise experience. Try a crossing sometime. Cheers, NJ
onthewater51 Posted June 20, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 20, 2018 OP we are booked on Jewel for next May in Greece. While we haven't been on her we have done one of her sister ships, Sernade. Absoulutly our favorite class in the RCL line. Lots of glass and open views, you get sense of being at sea. We loved the layout, and staff was superb. So if Jewel is simiar to Serenade you will enjoy your cruise....safe travels...Bob
