How was embarking? Didn't read if you have FTTF or not. We left out of that Terminal on the Sunshine last year without FTTF and to put it nicely we did not have a good experience. FTTF has been sold out for our upcoming 5/7 cruise too so I'm slightly concerned of a repeat experience.

Can you tell me where they put the Alchemy Bar? I can't find anything about where it is! Thanks!

Ocean Plaza, Near the "back" entrance of the Red Frog Pub, across from the Dance Floor. On the deck plans, it's right under the words that say "plaza cafe". :)

Hey Trumpster,

I don't eat fast food types but I have got to see what these burgers taste like as everybody raves about them, did the grease pour down your arm lol...just asking because Johnny Rockets it does.

Any lucky slot machine there?

I like to figure out what is served as main course for dinner the first night can you recall what was on the menu?

Thank you, go have a cocktail now haha

We just sailed the Magic last month. The Guy's Burgers were very tasty and surprisingly NOT greasy. I lost $60 on the slots and that was the extent of my trips to the casino.

Marking my spot, very interested in post upgrade Magic reviews/info :) Thanks for taking the time to post here while on your cruise!

Sure seems silly and kind of like a waste of space to only have the Guy's BBQ open for such a short amount of time on the cruise. They should at least make the hours longer on the sea days. Oh well, maybe by the time we cruise they will.

Hope you're having an amazing time!

Can you please check and see if there is a piano in the Steakhouse? Also, if you feel like snooping, can you look behind the curtains in the aft showroom where the comedy is and see if there is a baby grand back there? Thanks so much!

No johnny walker blue.

Only for sale in the fun shop, not at the bars.

That's stupid!!! lol

Thanks for updating us on the JWB Trumpster! I was wondering this myself. I've purchased bottles in the funshop before but never inquired about it at the bar; I just stick to black label when drinking by the glass. But I was considering cheers on my next cruise since they up'ed it to $50 per drink.

Oh well, I figured they didn't. At least Johnny Walker Black is included now because before it was always over the designated cheers limit. :(

I love Carnival cruises but was very disappointed with this particular cruise. The service was terrible. It was a sold out cruise and not enough servers. Lines were 1 to 11/2 hour long for Mexican, BBQ, Burgers, Chinese and even pizza. Under staffed at Guest Services, man peed his pants and would not get out of line. Girl puked on my leg in pizza line. State Room 6374 flooded with every shower and housekeeping would not pick up. Northern Lights dinner was terrible, scallops smelled of bad fish. Not once did we ever have someone offer us cocktails on the lido deck. Too many people and under staffed. Steak House was excellent for the additional $35. Heading back to the smaller boats where the service and food was excellent. Our friends made this cruise not the staff or carnival.

:( Not really what I was looking to hear. Im not use to lines for food on cruise ships. While I am expecting them on Magic, 1 hour to 1.5 hours is terrible.

My cruise has been sold out for weeks. Gonna make the very best of it though!

Ok just arrived in St. THOMAS so I have great signal.

First off the 3 day cruise was a very different animal compared to the 7 day so far.

Breeze is behind us, first time the two sisters have been together in a long time apparently, much of the crew is very excited.

Not our experience at all. The 3 day did have a different vibe and some reduced services. Food was quite good for us. My scallops were good and tasty.

Some lines of course, but with only 3 days and 1 sea day people were trying to squeeze in a bunch of things.

If I had only done the 3 day...meh but still OK.

Sorry you had such a hit.

Love this class of ship!

There is only one waiting line, when you get to a point they split you into one of two lines. The line heads aft.

A hostess directs you when you reach the "pass" or "fork" and you go one way or another.

Works well but lines were long.

I was again first in line at 11:30 , it opens at 12 noon. By 11:35 there were 6 people in line behind me.

Im skipping it Friday, twice is enough.

We arrived at 12:30 and cruised right on. But this cruise had no passengers getting off.

DW was impressed how everything flowed quickly and efficiently. PC appears to be a good port.

No piano in either venue.

Just chiming in my .02 cents. We did the 3 day Magic cruise last week and had a wonderful time! :) YMMV... (But, honestly, we had our reservations... This was our first return to a Carnival cruise in 6 years & have cruised Royal since then.) We did not experience any long lines, longest wait was for pizza, maybe 15 minutes. They seemed to have a tough time keeping up with demand. We tried it all - the buffet, Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana for breakfast & lunch, Mongolian wok, Deli, BBQ lunch -hubby was one of the first 10 or so in line on BBQ day! Everything was wonderful, :) but we we do usually plan our meals around going at non-peak serving times to avoid crowds. Naturally, if you wait to hit breakfast & lunch places at 9am or 12:30 it will be a bit more crowded. We loved the Magic, the food and her crew were both outstanding. We will be sailing on her again in the future. Glad to have another great cruise choice out of Port Canaveral.
