Yes, watch where the crewmembers go. Speak to your dining staff, bar servers, stateroom attendant. They know here to go.

In Nassau we went to the Starbucks on the main drag, had a beverage and Wifi. There was also Wifi at Sharkeeze where we had dinner. Many places will advertise it. We didn't want to pay for a plan and didn't care much about being on internet except to check in with family and the dog sitter.

All I would suggest if going to one of these places that require some sort of purchase for WiFi, is to ask if the WiFi is working before purchase. We've been burned a few times.

Fast food places(McDonalds etc.), coffee shops and casinos usually have free wifi. Occasionally you can get wifi in hotel lobbies or right outside.

St. Thomas has free wifi near some of the shops. Look around for people using it to find the strongest signal.

Just my 2 cents, but please don't bother the crew about wifi on shore.

They have such limited free time away from us to connect with friends, family and the rest of the world, let's not interfere with their time, or their bandwidth.

When I see those pods of crewmembers in front of a store all hunched over their phones, I keep walking. The signal won't be any good anyway, with so many people trying to connect.

It's 2018, for heaven's sake.

Look around, read signs and you'll find somewhere on your own, especially in the Caribbean . EZ to find an out of the way bar of coffee house.

Good advice to check on availability before making a purchase, tho.
