Parking in manhaten

When leaving from manhatten NY, on NCL, where is best parking? We have parked at dock but seeing cheaper options.:hearteyes:

What does "Best" mean?

Parking at the Pier is "best" to us, as it's right there. Cheaper options require more time and having to get to and from the other location to the pier.

There are a couple quite lengthy threads on this board with alternatives you should review.

While I understand the idea of "cheaper" parking, by the time you add in the "cost" of getting to the offsite, plus the headaches of moving luggage, etc, its easier to just park at the pier, load up and go.

Parking in Manhattan is usually an expensive proposition compared to many places. In my opinion parking at the cruise terminal is the “best” from the perspective of convenience and safety.

That's what I would do. Trust me, I fully understand wanting to save a few bucks, but you can't really put a price on getting off, getting luggage, waving to Immigration, and then getting in your car and driving off.

I would look into either spot Hero or parkwhiz apps. Both offer discounted parking in all major cities. I use it all the time uin NYC for huge savings. There are plenty of good secure garages in the area of the port.

don't forget cost in both money and time in moving your baggage - especially if there are events going on near your departure date.

Also it depends on what kind of car you have, most of the off site add a surcharge if the car is bigger than a normal sedan. This alone negates most of the savings. Also I always have a problem handing my keys over and telling them I'll see you in 7 days. If they valet your car do you really want them driving NYC streets in your car?
