I'm sure this thread has been done many many times, but I thought I would start it up again! So... when I get on board, I head straight for: my cabin! We usually always book a gty balcony so I want to see where our room is and the view from the balcony!

In 2 weeks however, we are cruising for the first time in an 'inside' cabin (our son & dil are also coming.. hence the inside room) and I am somewhat claustraphobic. So, I may hit the Lido deck for some lunch first... then tackle the phobia afterwards. ha ha

We were on board and eating at the Lido at noon!!!! After we ate lunch it was straight to our Cabin, as it was our first balcony. Once we unloaded our carryons, it was staright to the bar for our first DOD:D

Perhaps next time it will be straight to the bar for our first DOD:eek:

Since I and who ever I'm sailing with (usually my Mom but twice with my fiance) normally get onboard sometime around 11:30, our cabin isn't ready yet. We go 1st to the Purser's Desk to get holes punched in our S&S Cards so we can wear them on lanyards around our necks and not lose them. Then, it's straight to the Lido for a DOD and lunch. After lunch, we head to our cabin and drop of our carry ons. Then, it's off to explore the ship until Muster!!!! :D

Seeing how everyone was talking about how they go to the Lido first, that is what we did.

Up to the Lido... ohhhh loookeeee... he has a bunch of DOD's! How handy is that? Grabbed a Fun Ship special then got in line for the buffet.

After we ate we went down to the casino for a bad cigarette habit, then went to our stateroom. Looked at our gifts we bought ourselves :D then the luggage started showing up. Unpacked, found out that Muster wasn't until the next day so off we went for our CC meeting by the funnel. Met our new friends and had more DOD's!

OK you wanted to know what was first... I told you more... sorry... can't help it!

Check the cabin to see if we can drop off carry-on's. If yes we drop them and go to the Lido for a DOD & lunch. If no, we take them with us to the Lido for a DOD & lunch, THEN we drop them in the cabin & go explore the ship (me) and sit on the balcony with a cig (DW).

I usually stop in the atrium bar to get a beer. The only time I drink is on cruises or vacations so that beer is really treasured. I love to see the look on the faces of newbies as they enter the bar, the first place upon boarding. Can read a lot of lips when they peer up to the top of the atrium. Everything from "Damn ! ! " to "Holy $--t ! !":D

After that glorious beer, maybe another for backup , I head to my cabin. I always board very early so, I drop off carryon luggage if I can and get something to eat in the buffet.

If cabin is ready, I unpack, hanging up clothes and putting everything in its place in the drawers, setup the puter and battery chargers, etc. (GAWD ! ! , I've become my Father ! !)

Then, take in the general excitement of paxs prepping for a cruise as I explore the coming week's venues. Always fascinating.:)

I'm like everyone else and head to the Lido deck for lunch until my cabin is ready, but the first significant thing I do is head to the dining room at 1:00 when they open so I can check on my table. When I travel with just my wife, I then request a table for two. But last time we had our daughters with us and the table they assigned us was fine.

We usually head to the bar in the atrium lobby and I ask for "Two Pina Colada's, one for each hand", since we are "setting sail with Captain Morgan." I haven't had a bartender yet know that those are lyrics to a popular Garth Brooks song.:D

Lido deck for lunch and a Foo-Foo drink! Then the cabin, and the INTERNET café. The last is to find the part of the ship that I do not want to be!

I am an IT professional and the last thing I want to see on a ship is a computer!

As soon as we get into our cabin, we turn off the cell phones and lock them in the safe!;)

The the bar :p We are usually on the ship before noon... grab a drink, go drop off our carry ons and then head to the lido deck for our sailaway party :D

I was starting to wonder if I was the only one who looked for the bar first! DODs can be had from the Lobby bar, by the time I get to Lido I'm ready for my 2nd. :D

I do the same thing you do. Head straight to my cabin to drop off my carry ons and thank the room steward for letting me :) Then I exit right back up to the Lido deck to get lunch :)
