O'Sheehan's Deck 8, midship above the atrium lobby - starboard side, is usually not busy, and window seating - mid-morning & mid-afternoon are best. It's possibly that they might have function closed to the public & blocked it off with a sign, otherwise, it's a great spot. Get some coffee or beverage from nearby OSH, maybe even get some comfort food to sit there and do your "work".

Don't forget to bring a noise-isolating/cancellation headset (over the ear cups) to help tune out the background noise & music from below (deck 7, atrium lobby) ...

There are several places for hooking up! O'Sheehan's has never given us any slack for taking up a table, but we always had drinks from the bar, so not sure if that is why they left us alone. We card played during the day there, as well as used our lap tops. The Atrium below is also perfect!!

NCL STAR locations - with sea visibility -

the Buffet towards the back on the port side or even starboard *-

* maybe crowded and of course busy at meal time

Pool area on deck 12 (caution port side smoking) -

Promenade deck 7 (get there early or bring your own chair) -

Versailles MDR deck 6 - by the aft windows if allowed access -

The Bier Garden deck 14 forward might have some space although

it maybe windy in the eye of the tiger -

Some specialty dining venues except Cagney's & Moderno suite guests only

Locations with no sea visibility -

the library on deck 12 forward -

the deck 9 atrium lounge (used to be the internet café maybe still is) -

Stardust Theatre decks 6 & 7 if allowed access -

And anywhere you can pull the deck floor up and hang your feet LOL !

Presume your writing is typing on the QWERTY laptop keyboard.

You could go almost anywhere on one of the upper decks and find

a lounge chair - but the bright daylight may dim your laptop screen

from viewing - brighten it up use more battery power - shorter story.

There are lots of nooks and crannies here and there about the STAR.

Use of these would be determined by your comfort level - ability to

endure crowds of people - noisy entertainment maybe not conducive

to your writing theme. In the back of the STAR deck 12 the Children's

Splash Down Pool area maybe what you need -

go up one level to the Helipad find a deck lounge chair check this area out.

Deck 13 forward has some of those neat nooks and crannies especially

near the entry doors off the forward elevators.

Good luck - good writing - Mouse not required ! LOL !
