Once full payment is made and all your info is completed, it is available to print online. Next will be luggage tags. Yours will be coming up soon!! :D

Thanks for the info.

Did you get your tags yet?

We usually make final payment around 10 days ahead..to make sure it goes through..not sure if we are doing the selfies yet.

We plan to arrive early to the ship, as usual. We still have to figure out parking, luggage drop off and check in routine for the redesigned terminal.

Although cruise lines try to space out arrivals for check in they realize some cruisers are flying in day of the cruise, driving a distance to the port or have hotel check out deadlines. We have never been sent away. Longest potential delays are when the ship is returning from Europe and many inspections are needed.

Hope to get alot of feedback from the first groups of cruisers.

Vtcruising - Yes that means you’ll be ‘in line’ to be first off, but if I’m behind you, I’ll be using everyone in front of me as a human ladder, so you better move quickly! Woman and Children First.....baa humbug!

thank you again for your great posts and fantastic threads you start!

Den

Den and VT - please make sure there is no problem on your sailing that would require you to evacuate ship. Talk to the captain for us and tell him to be careful. Those of us on later sailings would be disappointed if something happened! By the way- if you have an obstructed cabin on deck 6 it looks like you could just get on the lifeboat directly from your balcony. Best way to be first off! Maybe that would be an advantage for tender ports too!

Thanks! Soupy Sales .... a blast from the past! :D

Soupy is from my husbands hometown, which we live in. As a young man, my husband met Soupy. We also knew his brother and wife. They lived up the street from us and Soupy's brother was our eye doctor.

Oh, I will be there earlier.... You'll probably see me being escorted away by Security. :D

I'm not sure if there is another cruise from the 4-6th, since they are christening her on the 4th. If there is no one to disembark, we should be able to get on a bit earlier. I may show up at 10:00 or so and see.

We will be coming from a HAL cruise on December 9th. Plan to live that ship by 9:30 and make our way over to the Edge. Hopefully we will be allowed to board as soon as possible.

The only time we ever had a problem with coming early was when the ship had just done a TA and was going through all sorts of routine and surprise inspections. They literally checked you in, and then sent early arrivers back down, back through security, OUTSIDE the terminal. They had buses lined up to "take you to the mall for a shopping trip." What? No. I just checked in, seapass in hand, I want to get on the ship. Don't check me in if you're not planning to board people, or at least let them stay in the terminal. Needless to say, we definitely did NOT take them up on their offer to go to the mall, and ended up in a mess of chaos trying to get back upstairs once the okay was given. Anyone with priority boarding, out the window. Everyone was fighting to get back up there and it was the dreaded cattle feeling. I really gave Celebrity a hard time about this for their poor handling of the situation. They didn't do much, but they did do something (little). Still it wasn't a good memory and not our best cruise. Taught me to never book a cruise after a re-position.

New terminal should have waiting space inside in the event of delays

I would not go to the mall but it was a good thought by X anyhow

. We had delayed boarding in Bayonne once, .ship late to port due to weather .We sat inside there..lucky to have seats and X put out a huge sandwhich buffet trying to make it livable.

Another delay was after the ship returned from Eur...Standing in the hot sun was not fun but they eventually took Elites, suites physically challenged guests inside..

Third time was in Red Hook for QM 2..check in computers went down..Quite a nightmare!

Not everyone can plan to arrive at a set hr....due to hotel and flight scheds..I think X will be flexible and totally hi tech

cruiserke;57051631']This looks exactly like the SetSail boarding passes issued by Royal Caribbean on Their Oasis and Quantum class ships.

On Royal they no longer give out your room key at check-in. The cards are placed in your stateroom' date=' with one being placed outside on the door so you can get in. Until you go pick up your card in your room, you use the boarding paper you brought along as your identification and to charge purchases like bar drinks.

Because some people won't get to their room in time before the muster drill to pick up their cards, the muster station is printed on the boarding pass too, so you know where to go for the drill.

The reason the Edge Express Pass looks so similar to Royals'd perhaps means the boarding procedure will be similar.[/quote']Wow !!!

What is to keep guests from going to the wrong cabin? Either accidently or on purpose? I can understand the time savings at check in - it normally takes as long to find the seapass card as everything else combined!
