laundry room open on embarkation day?

Hi there. Does anyone know if I can expect to find the laundry room open, and useable, on embarkation day in Fort Lauderdale? I leave on the Royal next week. DH is meeting me in FL, coming off of a 12-day trip, so it would be nice if I can wash some of his things & have them for the cruise. That would mean less stuff for me to pack.

I know that sometimes, in some ports, the laundry room is closed while at port. So that's why I ask...

I can't state it with 100% certainty but I'm reasonably sure that the laundry rooms on the Regal were open on embarkation day (people on B2Bs would possibly make use of them).

Last April on the Crown in FLL, there were some on a B2b who used the laundry after getting back from CBP for the 2nd segment before lunch.

On a B2B last year on the Royal I was able to do laundry on our second embarkation day after we were allowed to go back to our cabin.

Yes it is open at least it was on the Emerald Deck

Be ready to find all the machines in use. People on back to backs use the day for laundry.

FWIW my photo of the laundry room was taken at 5:38 AM on 11/27/17 on my way down to the International Cafe for a apple turnover and coffee prior to a breakfast visit to Horizon Court. The internet also works well at that hour

None of the machines were in use.

Open, yes. vending/change machines stocked is the issue. Knowing your plan, pack quarters and soap.

Correct, but if machine is out of tokens from all the last night activity, servicing is low on the list when most the crew is ashore
