Carnival Sunshine 5th floor cabins

We are booked in January on the Sunshine on the 5th floor. Can anyone tell me if the smoke from the casino can be smelled in the cabin area? I didn’t even think of that when booking. I just thought of the convenience to the 5th floor activities. 🤦🏼*♀️

Between the casino and the cabins is the shake spot/java café, the taste bar, ocean plaza, alchemy bar and an elevator bank.

Staying on deck 5 on the Sunshine was fantastic - you were steps away from a lot of the action and yet once you went down the cabin hallway area, it was super quiet.

Great location, not noisy, no smoke. Bonus is you are close to a little known food station for breakfast and lunch. Cabins are newish, and have refrigerators.

I read about the food station there. Is the food comparable to what’s served up in Lido?

Any noise from the Alchemy Bar or the stage in Ocean Plaza? We booked 5301 next March, and it backs up against the Alchemy Bar.

We stayed on deck 5 and I am asthmatic. There were no noise or smoke issues at all for us in August 2017.

after staying on that deck we will not book anywhere else. it is so convenient and we like the music in the evening just steps away.

I’m booked in 5307 for 11/2/19. Looking forward to being so close to everything on that floor!

I read about the food station there. Is the food comparable to what’s served up in Lido?

It is a smaller sampling of the Lido offerings. In the morning it will be a continental style breakfast.

I was on the 4th floor and yes in the stairwell we could smell it and some smell down the halls but it was not terrible. The casino was on the 7th floor.

I was on the 4th floor and yes in the stairwell we could smell it and some smell down the halls but it was not terrible. The casino was on the 7th floor.

 

The casino on Sunshine is on Deck 5 and the Cabins on Deck 5 are well aft of it.
