Ugh! I knew some didn't have them but I thought some did. Totally a deal breaker for us. We would have been cruising with out kids. Our youngest is 17.

I don't find the lack of a casino a detriment at all and we cruise without kids. There is plenty to take in during the evenings.

And if' date=' like me, you wanted to find a loophole and go over to Atlantis' casino during the Nassau port stop, theirs are only open in the evenings, and mostly to passholders and guests, except for the slots. Either way, it's a no-win.[/quote]

I have been to Nassau several times cruising and have stayed at Atlantis several times and your comment got my attention. We will be in Nassau in Feb for a cruise and planned on going to casino. Here's my research.

From Atlantis Site:Main Casino Floor

Slots 24hrs 12/27-1/2/17

Tables Sunday - Thursday 9am to 4am and Friday & Saturday 24hrs

My husband is a gambler and he has won big at Atlantis and I immediately took him to Coin of Realm, local jewelry store:) I am hoping to repeat the experience:)

We aren't huge casino players but enjoy them on cruises. We cruised Disney Wonder in December and it was really a nice change not seeing the casinos on board a ship. There wasn't the smokey area that you have to walk through on other ships with casinos. It was a nice change honestly. Plus they have BINGO so you can try your luck with that. :)

One of the reasons I prefer DCL is because there is no casino. On a number of cruise lines, smoking is permitted in the casino and you can't traverse the ship from stern to bow without walking through the casino. And the only time I've visited a ship's casino was only because the entertainment options didn't interest me, meaning the casino was my only diversion.

Which Disney ships have a casino?

Sorry, but as some have said.no casinos, if for no other reason less noise and crowds and like others, its just another reason we choose DCL.

I am beginning to think you will start finding some other ships without casinos. The profit margins are not as much as some think and there are more and more landslide.

I hope you find another line or ship your looking for.

another way to slice the pie: DCL took all that space which other lines use for casino, and built the kids clubs ..... what other line has as much square footage for kids clubs? I've sailed quite a few and while (today) most have a kids club, I've never seen as much or as large and varied as Disney. DCL was a trailblazer in this regard. Anyone else sailed Royal b4 the Disney days? Not quite a family oriented line were they? But today???? How about Carnival in the 80s and 90's versus today?

IMO if Disney really wanted casinos in Disney World, they'd get them .... they have virtually autonomous power in "Reedy Creek" https://www.rcid.org/ ...... but they DON'T want them and work hard to keep casinos out of Florida and away from WDW. Walt did not see casinos as family friendly ... I'm sure he's turning in his grave (or freezer depending on which story you believe) as WDW begins to sell alcohol in the Magic Kingdom.

Might consider Celebrity as they do not allow smoking in their casinos.

I've no idea why you might have got that idea, as none of the 4 DCL ships have ever had a casino.

If gambling is a priority for you and your family, DCL is not the line for you.

No. Not a priority. I actually only play the penny slots but its just something to do.

I had no idea about the casino. That is why I came here to ask. I thought that is what the boards are for? I went to the Disney site and didn't see any on the deck plans so I thought I would ask here. No worries. I wont ask anymore questions.

And FYI I'm not a first time poster as someone suggested. We have always sailed Carnival because it was within our budget with 2 kids. Now we can afford to spend a little more on ourselves and was looking elsewhere however doesn't look like Disney is for us.

Wow if you have two kids Disney IS for you. Kids love the experience and mom and dad can enjoy some adult time. If you only do it once it's an experience your whole family will enjoy!

5 years ago DCL bingo was fun and you could win some good cash!

Seemed like they put 50% payout and the the other 50% in Jackpots!

Now it seems like 10% and 10%? Not joking.

It cost really about $50 per event(4 games) and it is hard to break even if you are lucky enough to win!

I have won a few times and played more then I can count. lol

I also always appreciate ExTechies answers and always find them extremely helpful. As quoted you said it was a "deal breaker" for you so I don't know why you are upset that you were told there are no casinos on board so DCL unfortunately isn't the line for you, since you were the one who said a casino is a deal breaker.

I also am a huge gambler and just about all of my other vacations are near some sort of casino so I can get my gaming fill in on top of numerous weekend trips to AC and Vegas, however if you at all like Disney you won't miss the on-board casino...at least I don't...I'd say give it a shot one time.

I think the misunderstanding is the way the question was asked. Instead of asking "do any Disney ships have a casino", the question was "which ship has a casino" making it sound like there is an assumption that at least one ship has a casino. That is why techie answered the way he did, which in that context, was not snooty at all. He just wondered what gave the impression that any ship had a casino.
