2. Cell Phone (You are suppose to be relaxing)

3. Television

4. Loud neighbors

5. Cash (you have to use your sea pass for everything)

1 Art Auctions.

2 Smoking in the casino.

3 Fliers advertizing stupid items.

4 Booklets offering $250.00 worth of 'Free items', which might cost $1,500.00 to qalify.

5 Loud cruisers, after 11.00pm.

1) The Scottish weather (i.e. RAIN)

2) Work - I don't want ANYTHING at all to remind me of work

3) Worries and stress - I'm on board to chill out and recharge my batteries

4) Stiletto heels and wedge heels - look great but take up too much room in the suitcase! I always pack flip flops for by the pool, trainers for walking onshore (and for the flight to/from the ship) and flat pumps for night time onboard

5) Diets - on holiday, will eat what I damn well want!

1. A bathroom scale

2. Bingo

3. Art Auctions

4. Impatient and rude cruisers/The Ugly-Americans

5. Reminders of work

Boy, oh boy did I make the Art Auction mistake once. What a waste of time!

I'm pretty easy to please. I love to take my book up on deck and read in the sunshine and salty wind, and I love hairy chest competetions & ice carvings.

1. rude passengers - especially when they treat the hard working crew

badly

2. art auctions

3. high priced drinks - and overpriced wines!

4. excessive charges for photos that only get thrown away - reduce the

prices so people might take home their vacation memories

5. disembarkation delays!

My 5 useless items:

On the ship

Casino

Art Auction

Smoking areas

Photographer

Yappy Cruise Director

That I have brought and should not have:

Snorkel fins (bring your own mask and snorkel - if you need fins they have them on whatever tour you do)

Laptop (cant use it anyway - go ashore)

Cell Phone - really - it does not work at sea - every heard of ship to shore!

Hair dryer (only useless if the one in the suite actually works)

Alcohol

After EXTREMEMLY being OVER prepared for my first ever cruise (which happened to be a 7-night Alaskan cruise), I have learned that the 5 things that I could personally do without on my next cruise include (in no particular order)…

1. At least 2-different complete outfit changes each day.

2. Any thoughts of previous worries prior to boarding the ship (work/home/bills, etc.)

3. An excessive amount of batteries for my digital camera (why didn’t I find out about lithium batteries sooner??? Silly me). I’m surprised TSA let me through with that many.

4. 3 full boxes (80 ct. each) of assorted sized Band-Aids. (Granted both my husband and I are accident prone, but we never did need them and the room stewardess was happy to take them off of our hands at the end of the cruise.)

5. BINGO announcments!!!

With all the new checked bag rules they have now & all the charges for overweight & additional bags...

1. I Never bring a pop hamper it's a waist of space, plus it's double the work, you fill it up, to then dump it out, to then pack it & all your dirty clothes, which will now be loose in you suitcase. Mesh laundry bags are good, but they're almost always netting, so that's smelly. Just bring a garbage bag, fill it & then when it's time to pack tie it & throw it in the suitcase.

2. I Never bring clothes pins, just pull the retractible clothes line out from the wall as usual, but string it through the arm/leg holes of your garments before attaching it to the wall & presto!

3. I Never bring travel speakers. Just buy a much lighter & cheaper ($4.99) RCA cable. It connects your mp3 player to your tv. Speakers just take too much room & if you're worried about the light from the tv, you can put it on the ship cam channel...very romantic, especially if you are in an inside room. ;) Also, if you have a video mp3 player or if you upload photos to your mp3 player you can view them as well.

1. Cell phones (I turn it off the moment the ship slips away from the dock)

2. t.v (I didn't pay that kind of money to be sitting watch tv in my cabin)

3. Cold snowy weather (need I say more on that)

4. work (it will be there soon enough)

5. internet cafe (I don't need to communicate with anyone until I get home)

1. any more than 3 pairs of shoes - two walking, one go-into-dinner

2. any makeup at all, other than chapstick, if you consider chapstick makeup

3. hair curlers of any kind - curling iron, rollers, whatever

4. a different outfit for the dining room for every night of the cruise

5. any jewelry at all - hate wearing the stuff

As you all can see, I not only have no sense of style I also have no sense of shame about it. :D
