Ft Lauderdale at the end of January/10

Hi all,

Leaving for our first cruise at the end of January, and will be staying one day pre cruise in Ft Lauderdale. My question is (sorry, its not super cruise-related, but important nonetheless for us!) Is there an American Eagle store in the nearby area (Airport/Hollywood etc) that would sell mens leather canvas flip flop sandals? Being from Canada, there would be no hope in finding these in the stores now, and I have checked Ebay, but with no luck on the specific size (11). If not, he'll obviously have to find an alternative, but finding these ones in FLL would be ideal. Thanks for any help !

Hi, I don't know where your cruise is going, but if one of your ports of call is Key West, you might find what you're looking for at Kino Sandals. I am also leaving Fort Lauderdale in late January (Carnival Freedom, Jan. 24), and I know Kino Sandals is on my list of "must do" places in Key West.

will you have a rental car or were you planning to take a cab? if you're taking a cab, i think it might end up costing a fortune, but if you have a rental, either the sawgrass mills location or the pembroke pines http://www.ae.com/web/storelocator/storeResult.jsp?_requestid=131945 is your best bet......but being in florida, it shouldn't be too hard to find leather sandals elsewhere if you can't manage the trip to AE. good luck!

Iv been many times to SawGrass Mills which is a great outlet mall, imo the best shopping Iv ever seen. I sure miss it living here in Dallas.

Thank you for all your replys. We are not stopping in Key West (Going to Nassau,Puerto Rico,Antigua,Tortola,St Thomas) so we cant look there :(

I checked the AE website as well, but the size he needs is not available (11) I'll keep checking back on Ebay...Maybe something will show up ! *fingers crossed*:p

I don't know about American Eagle, but I recommend you go to a store called Outdoor World which is very near to the Ft. Lauderdale airport. They have a nice mens and womens shoe department with many styles of sandals and flip flops.
