MSC Poesia American Inaugural Gala, a report and pictorial.

The next few are of the S32 night club. I have to say that of all the ships I have been on, this was by far the best disco I have seen. The ultra modern decor was nice, the seating comfortable, and they DJ played a great variety of music. There were fog machines going and laser lights flashing through. All in all a very hip place. The icing on the cake had to be the lack of cigarette smoke. They solved the problem by having a wrap around exterior deck with several doors leading out to it. Folks can go outside to smoke and walk right back inside, a perfect setup.

I was also on this overnight and you are correct this is one of the best setups I have seen on a ship. We really enjoyed the disco....the outdoor area was very nice! Glad the really cold winds stayed away until Saturday morning!

Hey Grady, thanks for the pics!! One question: as far as the interior goes, from the pic, it looks very cramped....not even a table. Is that the case, or was it just the camera angles. Thanks for any input.:)

I recall the interior rooms being about the same size as what you'd find on a Carnival Fantasy Class ship. There was no couch or table, just the bed and desk/vanity.

Hope they made the repairs from last year pictures from 2yrs ago are nice but the ship seemed to need some major carpet repairs, wallpaper and painting by the end of last caribbean season.

Poesia is in refurbish right now for a hole month!!!!;)

She should be beautifull for our cruise in 64 days!!!!!!!!!!:D

Thank you for the photos. This is a beautiful ship. Small balcony staterooms; looks like a chair and not a sofa. Going to try to upgrade the two I have for Spring Break tomorrow but if not I'll just enjoy the fact that there are not four of us in one of those rooms.

These pictures are great! We are currently booked on the April 3rd sailing, and we have category 11 with a superior balcony booked (cabin 11161). Its nice to see pics of some of the other categories too.;) The ship looks like she's in great shape. Now I'm getting even more hyped for my cruise!:D

I'm confused. Are you boarding at the Cayman Islands then? Our cruise leaves on 30th March, and 3rd April is day 5 of our cruise!

check the dates of the post you are referring to. i didn't check, but this is an old thread that someone brought forward.

Thanks for that seacat. I was getting really confused! I didn't understand why Poesia was having an inaugural gala when I thought she had already sailed in the Caribbean. The thread started in 2010!!! No wonder the dates don't match up!
