View towards Aqua Theater from the top deck - vertigo inducing:eek:

Note the high-dive platforms at the upper edge of the frame.

Can you explain the Petri dish thing.... I went to the artists page ... howmuch are they and do you have to go somewhere special to buy them? How does it work... they are beautiful...

They sell them on the Royal Promenade along with all the other "special sale items" - and believe me, they will not let you miss them as you stroll the Royal Promenade. I recall that on day 2 of the cruise, they were asking $250 for them and "you had better hurry because they only had 7 left." Those 7 were very slow sellers because on day 5 of the cruise, they were still selling them. Maybe they were taking special orders.

I have to admit that some were pretty cool and I wouldn't mind having one kicking around my place to culture a mold or bacterial colony in - just not $250 cool. Be sure to catch the "gallery" of them as you enter the Casino.

I called about the Aquasuites. The lower is more expensive (better view of the shows I guess) I personally wanted the top one because of the incredible view that you would have. It held 8 people and in off season I think the price was almost $17,000. although divide that by 8....

Is there a bar on Oasis you can sit at on sail aways and see the ocean and the receding dock? Princess has some

great lobby bars where you can sit right next to a large window and watch as the ship pushes out from the dock and

then have a drink while the ocean wizzes by. Haven't notice is there is anything like that on Oasis.

Atanac. with the exception fo the vivking crown, I would have to say no.

That was my one disappointment (if you can call it that) with Oasis. The ship is huge, magnificent ....etc.. but because of that and the way it is built with the boardwalk and Central park centered inward, you definitely do not get the same "connection" with the sea as you do on smaller ships. While I had a wonderful time, i truely missed that.

You can find it if you look very hard or have an ocean balcony, but it is really not obvious anywhere on the ship.

Thanks for the tips! We are sailing next October midship on Deck 11 and are looking forward to taking advantage of the public deck on 11!

...DH & I along with two other couples are looking at, I believe its Oct 23 2011 for the Oasis. We always get an inside cabin so your plan sounds good to me as well!! When is your cruise are u already booked?

A2 (deck 9) has the largest room and balcony, followed by A1 and then A3 (8 and 10)

I think the RCI website has these numbers reversed. If you check the latest brochure, A1 is largest, then A2, followed by A3. Which makes sense if you look at the deck plans or the picture that was posted earlier in this thread. The picture in post 63 of this thread clearly shows the balconies getting progressively smaller as you go up in deck number.
