Yes, I like the shade option. We're cruising in June so temps will be a little hotter. I like the idea of being able to be outside in the warm air but not in the direct sunlight. I looked at ship diagrams while choosing my cabin and chose a room right underneath guest services with the hopes that that will be a quieter area than under the Galley or near the Main show room. Thanks for the info. Any pics of the inside of the room?

Here ya go! :)

We had connecting cabins. Here's the door to our friends cabin, and the balcony door.

No, she wasn't...but there were plenty who were. :D

The beach to the left was so crowded that we thought we'd just drop our towels in the clothing optional area. After going not even 100 feet into that area we changed our minds.  We're as liberal as the next mid-west couple ;), but we didn't care to know any of those folks that well. :o

I took this shot below of the Vision of the Seas while tendering in Cabo San Lucas. It is one of the best "ship" shots I've taken. What makes it unique for me is that I was contacted on Flickr, where I host my pictures, by a representative from Royal Caribbean..asking for permission to use it in an advertisement. I gave permission, but I don't know if it has ever actually been used. :)

Wow, markstudy. Those are very cool. :)

Thanks... I'm glad you liked them :)

When we weren't goofing around taking photos of each other

we did get a few pics of the fish also. This was my favorite

Dave Wojo, that truly is a wonderful ship shot.

Thank you. :)

We didn't spend much time on dry land. I tried to get some different point of view shots of our snorkeling.

Very nice underwater shots. What are you shooting with?

This is just a small clip of the actual damage from IKE.

I never will understand why Carnival let people get off at this island.

My wife was in tears the rest of the cruise .

Notice the little girl in the remains of the photo .:(

Look at it this way: they really need the revenue to recover.

Thanks I had one of these.... The Canon D10

It took great photos, this is another of my favorites.

Very nice! I'm using a Canon Powershot as well...an A630.

We LOVE Canon cameras. Here are a couple of my favorite underwater shots.

Took these in Hawk's Nest Bay, out from St. John.

Took these in a local quarry here in Ohio. It actually felt a little unsettling being in the water with this monster catfish.
