AAAAmerican Posted April 17, 2010 #51 Share Posted April 17, 2010 Sorry you may not know the facts.. The gift from France , Statue of Liberty is in/on Liberty Island, Hudson County, Jersey City New Jersey. That's the next municipality from the City of Bayonne, New Jersey at Port Liberty where it was MOTBY. Ellis Island is as well in Jersey City and both are powered and supplied with Natural Gas too by PEG :NYSE . Hope that helps now. That Inter-Bourough NYC, NY EXPENSIVE TOLL Bridge at the Narrows is very nice to go under. I have sailed from Manhattan, Brooklyn and Bayonne. When leaving from Brooklyn or Bayonne, you are already past lower Manhattan. Leaving from Manhattan offers the best views of the city. The Statue of Liberty is adjacent to the Brooklyn terminal and was not too far off in the distance from Bayonne. No matter which one you leave from, you still go under the Verazzano Bridge.
