Dawn to Bermuda

Recommended Posts

We are leaving NYC on 5-30 for 7night cruise to Bermuda.

We want info on bringing beverages on board from NYC and while in port, ie soda, water, alcohol.

Is there a Catholic Mass on board?

What is the easiest means of travel while on the island to the beaches?

thanks,

mardon

No problem bringing soda or water on with you. I would take enough for the entire cruise. It is very expensive to buy soda in Bermuda. You will however love this cruise. We were on the May, 31 2009 and Oct 5, 2008 Dawn to Bermuda cruises and would go back every year if I could! If you like snorkeling check out Jessie James Snorkel cruises. We went with them both times we were in Bermuda. Don't forget to check out the Bermuda Board here on CC too.

As far as a Catholic Mass on Sunday....maybe if a priest is cruising, but no guarantee. I'd recommend Sat night before you leave and Sunday night after you are home.

Yes on the soda and water.

From Kings Wharf there is a great little beach called Snorkel Park about a 5 minute walk or you can get on to the tram which takes you all around kings wharf.

Have a great time you will love it! We'll be coming in on the June 4th sailing on the Spirit.

The transpotation pass is the way to go. Entitles you to ferries and busses. Hop on and off. Great way to get around the island especially if you are docked at Kings Wharf as busses take a bit of time to get you yo Hamilton

Just a follow up to the bus/ferry recommendation...

1. passes can not be purchased in advance;

2. there is a small booth immediately beyond the fenced in area of King's Wharf where the passes may be purchased;

3. passes may be bought for 1,2 or 3 day duration (3-day was $28, but prices may change);

4. CASH ONLY...yes, that means no Visa, no Mastercard, no Discover, no AMEX, no checks...U.S. currency is accepted.

It's well worth the money, but you will need CASH.

Another option which worked for us is to buy individual tickets which can be used on the bus or ferry. If you are there for a few days and know you will only be making 1 or 2 trips per day, it can work out more affordably.

  • 3 weeks later...

Is the corkage fee the same no matter the size of the bottle of wine brought on board? ie: fifth or larger?

Do you get to keep the wine in your stateroom, or is it taken from you at time of boarding and provided to you during the cruise?

thanks

mardon
