san diego quick breakfast

We'll be staying at the Holiday Inn On the Bay, and probably walking to Ralphs or World Market to get some wine for the cruise. Any suggestions for a good place to grab a quick breakfast along the way?

I've gleaned from these boards that the best places to have breakfast are the following: Brian's 24, Richard Walker's Pancake House and Cafe 222.

 

We are going to Cafe 222 next Friday - just before we get on the Radiance. We will also be staying at the Holiday Inn on the Bay. From google.maps it looks like it is in the Gaslight District and within walking distance.

We are planning on going to Richard Walker's pancake house and then Ralphs next Wed. If you report this after April 27 to remind me I will tell you about it.

All three breakfast spots are good choices. If you will be here on a weekend, go early or be prepared for a wait. Richard Walker's in particular is tiny with looong lines on the weekend.

We always stay at holiday inn on the bay (there are 2 of them, one right across the street from where the ship docks and one about 2 miles (or less) ..the one that isnt right by the port has an excellent breakfast, you are given coupons to use and the breakfast might be as little as 4-6 dollars and with the alcohol coupons you can also use that for breakfast to get coffee instead of using it for alcohol the day before. We were just there almost 2 weeks ago when we felt the world move with the earth quake, hopefully its all over!! Have a fun cruise!

We always stay at the Hampton where they provide a lovely breakfast! It is near the airport and we can see the ships come in. Will be there in two weeks! Also near Lilttle Italy!

We were there the first part of March and I walked across the street and picked up some delicious cinnamon rolls to take back to the hotel. We always book a bay view balcony and sat there people watching while we had the rolls with coffee.

Do you know the name of the place that sells the cinnamon rolls? Is it directly across from the Holiday Inn?
