Hello everyone. . . We are on our way to Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ. The last day at sea is always a day that people wish that didn’t happen. Sometimes it is sad when you know you have to leave so soon. . . I will try to enjoy my final day on the beautiful Explorer of the Seas, and wait until tonight to start thinking about debarkation tomorrow.

There will be a ton of activities today. . . From sun up until late tonight, there are things happening all over the ship. (I will post each Daily Compass when I return)

I want to do the Rock Climbing, and do some skating in Studio B today, and I still need to visit Casino Royale before I leave.

Here are a few pics from this morning. . It was a little cold, but the forecast calls for clear skies, and temps around 70F.

Thanks for all of the nice comments, and thanks for tuning in. . .

I'm getting sad knowing it's the last day at sea...because I know that's how I'm going to feel...our trip is going to be WAY tooo short!

Maybe I just won't sleep - can someone stay up for 5 days straight? :D

Stupid question Radio. Do you know if they have knee pads for the ice skating and inline skating? I want to do these things but have a fear of falling on my knee from a previous injury, lol.

Thanks for the reviews and the pics, I'll be on the Explorer next SAturday, can't wait.

Hi Mark,

Thanks once again for your live posts. Wish I had been on this cruise other than virtually. I love Bermuda and am trying to convince my husband to let me add just one more cruise this year on Summit. Oh well, I can dream. Glad you had a great time.

Thanks again for taking the time to include us all !!!

What week in June will you be cruisin to Canada? :)

There is a ginger candy! You could take the ginger pills for prevention then if you feel seasick, eat ginger candy or ginger snap cookies.

Pretty much anything with ginger in it will help, that is why you are given ginger ale for upset stomachs.

Trader Joes has some uncrystallized candied ginger that

I use. If I have a piece or two each morning I do ok. If the seas get really rough I'll have another piece or two. On our last cruise a cruise mate saw my wrist bands and suggested I try the ginger. I am forever indebted! The ginger works better than anything else for me.

I want to thank everyone who posted pics and comments on this thread. I can only afford to cruise every two years; so in between cruises I like to be on the chat boards and interact and see what everyone is doing. I get so much valuable information from these boards, that when I do cruise, I feel like I have a wealth of knowledge; so again, thanks to everyone, especially Radio, you have provided wonderful insight into this Bermuda cruise; your pictures and comments are great, and I have visited your website and looked at Freedom, which I will be sailing on next year.

Cheers

You can set the board to automatically subscribe you to a thread when you post to it. I find that the most convenient. Then when you return to the board, just click on the "User CP" link at the top left and you will come to a page that shows all the threads you've participated in that have had later posts.

Radio - would you please report on the disembarkation upon return to Cape Liberty - we will be there at the end of the summer for the first time and someone recently reported it was very difficult to maneuver the port. Your impressions and tips, please.... :o Thank you.

I have cruised out of Cape Liberty twice and it has been super easy! The worst part is if you are waiting for a car service or someone to pick you up as the road into the pier gets very crowded with people picking up and dropping off.

What do you mean by maneuver? Our luggage was taken immediately, we walked into the terminal, thru the scanners and got our keys all within 30 minutes. Getting off, we waited until they called our color, exited the ship and found our luggage and someone to carry it for us within 15 minutes of our color being called. The only wait was for our car service. The shuttle buses are right there and the ride no more than 2 minutes.

Enjoy!

Cheryl
