Rare TLCOhio Posted June 10, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2010 anyone have a good map of the town and island? We are trying to get from the new port to Paradise beach then windmills, little venice and then to the town via moped. There are several websites on Mykonos that have lots of maps, details, beach info, etc. You might try: http://www.greeka.com/cyclades/mykonos http://www.travel-to-mykonos.com http://www.mykonosgreece.com Bing.com is also rising in the quality for its mapping details. Susan-M Posted June 11, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 11, 2010 Here's a map of Mykonos town, from Frommer's Destinations: Map Directions from Google Map: here
cruiseequalsfun Posted June 11, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 11, 2010 I recently printed the map from here. Have not been to Mykonos yet to see how helpful it is, but it appears to me to be a good one! http://www.mykonos-web.com/mykonos/images/mapbig_town.jpg
itil4get09 Posted June 12, 2010 #7 Share Posted June 12, 2010 anyone have a good map of the town and island? We are trying to get from the new port to Paradise beach then windmills, little venice and then to the town via moped. Hi Ircruising, We were in Mykonos on the NCL Gem in May. We found the map provided by cruiseequalsfun easier to use than the Frommer's. But we used the map mainly to walk from the tender drop off pier (same pier for boats to Delos) to Little Venice and the windmills and then had a wonderful time just walking through the little alleys without referring to the map. Somehow we always ended back onto the promenade which ran along the water. Then we used the map to walk up Ag. Ioannou to the other two windmills and had a panoramic view of the harbour/town. Have a wonderful time in Mykonos. _____________________________________________ Norwegian Sun, May 10, Baltic Norwegian Gem, May 10, Greek Isles, Adriatic Greece & Turkey B2B Jun 09, Europe river cruise - Budapest to Amsterdam Norwegian Sun, Mar /Apr 09, South America B2B Diamond Princess, Dec 08, Australia/New Zealand Dawn Princess, Nov 08, S Pacific/Fiji Sun Princess, Apr 08, Australia Norwegian Jewel, Nov 06, Eastern Caribbean Norwegian Star, Nov 06, Mexican Riviera Diamond Princess, Jan 06, Australia/New Zealand Norwegian Wind, Dec 05, Hawaii Pacific Princess, Jan 05, S Pacific Star Princess, Jan 04, Australia/New Zealand Celebrity Infinity, June 03, Alaska Celebrity Infinity, May 03, Hawaii Pacific Princess, Jan 03, S Pacific Superstar Virgo, Sep 02, Straits of Malacca/Singapore Regal Princess, Dec 01, Australia/New Zealand Celebrity Infinity, Aug 01, Alaska

Susan-M Posted June 12, 2010 #9 Share Posted June 12, 2010 We found the map provided by cruiseequalsfun easier to use than the Frommer's. The map that I found on the site recommended by cruiseequalsfun was a google map ... was there another map, or is that the one that you used? lhall85917 Posted June 26, 2010 #12 Share Posted June 26, 2010 Thanks for the map links. In the big image posted I see the windmills but not Little Venice, can someone point me in the direction where that is?
zqvol Posted June 27, 2010 #13 Share Posted June 27, 2010 Thanks for the map links. In the big image posted I see the windmills but not Little Venice, can someone point me in the direction where that is? It is right across the bay in front of the windmills. If I had to guess on the distance maybe 200 yards. We walked it in less than 5 minutes. Once you get back to town from the beach you should lose the moped. Everything is in walking distance and mopeds are not allowed in most of the places you want to go. The attached picture is taken at the windmills and the buildings that you see are Little Venice. http://www.flickr.com/photos/8259823@N06/4737467540/
UlvaZell Posted June 27, 2010 #14 Share Posted June 27, 2010 anyone have a good map of the town and island? We are trying to get from the new port to Paradise beach then windmills, little venice and then to the town via moped. The dock is walking distance from Mykonos town, but its a very narrow road with no sidewalk or shoulder. Your line will perhaps have a shuttle into town. Ours did. Little Venice and the windmills are within walking distance of each other. In fact you and see Little Venice from the windmills and vice versa. Paradise beach is a short drive from Mykonos Town. We rented ATV's and cruised around the island visiting several beaches and sightseeing in general. It was a blast...
tv77 Posted August 7, 2010 #15 Share Posted August 7, 2010 Does ncl have a shuttle from the pier into town, and if so where does it drop you off? If not, how long is the walk to the bus station that will take you to paradise beach? Thanks! Tv77
