anyone have a good map of the town and island? We are trying to get from the new port to Paradise beach then windmills, little venice and then to the town via moped.

There are several websites on Mykonos that have lots of maps, details, beach info, etc. You might try:

http://www.greeka.com/cyclades/mykonos

http://www.travel-to-mykonos.com

http://www.mykonosgreece.com

Bing.com is also rising in the quality for its mapping details. THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Hi Ircruising, We were in Mykonos on the NCL Gem in May. We found the map provided by cruiseequalsfun easier to use than the Frommer's. But we used the map mainly to walk from the tender drop off pier (same pier for boats to Delos) to Little Venice and the windmills and then had a wonderful time just walking through the little alleys without referring to the map. Somehow we always ended back onto the promenade which ran along the water. Then we used the map to walk up Ag. Ioannou to the other two windmills and had a panoramic view of the harbour/town. Have a wonderful time in Mykonos.

Where did you get the map that you mentioned? Did you get it from your cruise line, or where you able to get it online. All I have is the map from Frommers.

Thanks

The map that I found on the site recommended by cruiseequalsfun was a google map ... was there another map, or is that the one that you used?

Thanks for the map links. In the big image posted I see the windmills but not Little Venice, can someone point me in the direction where that is?

It is right across the bay in front of the windmills. If I had to guess on the distance maybe 200 yards. We walked it in less than 5 minutes.

Once you get back to town from the beach you should lose the moped. Everything is in walking distance and mopeds are not allowed in most of the places you want to go.

The attached picture is taken at the windmills and the buildings that you see are Little Venice.

The dock is walking distance from Mykonos town, but its a very narrow road with no sidewalk or shoulder. Your line will perhaps have a shuttle into town. Ours did. Little Venice and the windmills are within walking distance of each other. In fact you and see Little Venice from the windmills and vice versa. Paradise beach is a short drive from Mykonos Town. We rented ATV's and cruised around the island visiting several beaches and sightseeing in general. It was a blast...

Does ncl have a shuttle from the pier into town, and if so where does it drop you off?

If not, how long is the walk to the bus station that will take you to paradise beach?

Thanks!
