cruisebunnies Posted January 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2011 I,d go with 9.30 .That should have you on board by 11.00 and ready to start enjoying the cruise.

If you absolutely MUST fly in the day of your cruise, take the flight that gets in the absolute earliest possible.
Rare silentbob007 Posted January 9, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2011 Take the earlier flight just for some slop time with delays, mechanical problems, etc. It's better to wait around FLL a bit to go to the airport (10 minutes away) than be sitting on a plane, staring at your watch, and thinking ... I should have taken the other flight.
gregdude Posted January 9, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2011 I never fly in the day of a cruise, it's simply much too chancy given weather, airport delays, and potential mechanical problems. If you must travel the day of the cruise do as others above suggest, go as early in the morning as possible.
cb at sea Posted January 9, 2011 #6 Share Posted January 9, 2011 The earlier, the better.....the day prior is preferred! Assuming your flight arrives on time, by the time you get off the plane, collect your bags and hail a cab, it will put you at the port just in time to start boarding! Ashland Posted January 9, 2011 #7 Share Posted January 9, 2011 We have always flown into FLL the day of sail LAX-FLL taking a nonstop or a quick connect thru ATL. As others have suggested take the earliest arrival time and a comfortable departure time return flight...Best of luck and enjoy your cruise !!:)
