Enjoying your review! We (me, DH, DS(17), DD(15)) will be on the Pride on May1st.

While you were at Cabbage Beach, did you notice if they had motorized water sports, like seadoos?

Yes they did, including this type of ride pictured below.

We eventually stepped outside to view the lagoon, there was a guard talking to some other guests, he looked at us, didn’t say anything so we kept going. We walked along the outside of the building, viewing the marine life.

When we re-entered the building, we realized that we had access to the aquarium. I had read on this site that there was a fee for the aquarium, at least until late afternoon. I guess the guard we encountered didn’t care if we had paid or not.

By the time we exited the aquarium tunnels we had no idea where we were. We just wandered around, enjoying the view.

Hi Mike!:)

LOVIN your review! :D I looked the last couple of pages and see you paid to take a taxi over to Cabbage Beach the walked over to Atlantis to walk around, did you have to pay to tour Atlantis? I see that you wondered that about the aquarium, but how about the other places you walked around? Like the water park?

I know a lot of people put down Nassau, that they don't like it, but the beach you went to looked like a nice place to hang out if you like going to the beach. Was there any resturants or bars near by there?

The review is still great! I love all the pictures of Nassau and Atlantis. We had planned on going to Atlantis on our cruise last month. My Mom wasn't feeling well and we just stayed on the ship. Fortunately we didn't book it. We were going to go over and buy them there. Worst case scenario we were just to walk around. Lucky you that you got to tour the place for free. I wish I had that luck.

On Cabbage Beach did the water have rocks? Our tablemates went and said the beach was rocky in the water. Plus the sand had a lot of shells and hurt to walk on barefoot. Did you notice this as well?

The thought of a skiff full of Somali Pirates approaching this baby and having their ears explode just brought a smile to my face :-)

Did you get any close-up shots of the sailboat that was next to her?

Sorry Steven, no closeups. :(

Mike,

I'm enjoying this review as much as I enjoyed your last one - thank you so much for taking the time to write all about your cruise and for posting all of these beautiful pictures. I'm sure it will be a couple of years before our next cruise, so I really enjoy the reviews and pictures.

We were just at Atlantis for a few days this past September and it's really nice to see it with all of the Christmas decorations - really looks nice. You got several pictures of the lobby area of the Coral Towers (between where you entered and the casino) - it was nice seeing that again as that is where we stayed. Since I've been on a few cruises, I also enjoyed being able to see the cruise ships come in (got pictures of several). When we were there, Hurricane Igor had just hit Bermuda and the water was so rough - big waves, strong undertow - and the beaches were closed the entire time so we took advantage of the water park. It was really nice seeing your pictures of Cabbage beach with the water calm - what a difference!

I really enjoyed the article about Tracy that you posted earlier in the review - I think it's amazing what she is doing. I have some close friends who are with the Washington DC Police Dept. and also with the DC Fire department (some now retired). It is a very tough(and at times dangerous) job and it takes very special people and I admire all of you and really appreciate what you do.

How are Tracy's plants - are you remembering to water them? :) Couldn't resist. Looking forward to reading the rest of your review.

Thank you pghsteelerfan for everything. Tracy's plants are doing just fine, she wrote reminders on our big calender so between you guys and the calender she has nothing to worry about. ;)

Hi Mike

As always it's great reliving our cruise with you here on your review.

We enjoyed our trip to Atlantis. Just a tip, the Atlantis Grill and Bar just off the Casino was a great place for lunch.

Not cheap but very good value. Think you got a picture of it.

Helene and I walked back to the port from the Atlantis. Really easy. It took just an hour. No sweat (at least

at that time of the year). Have to say walking over the bridge was the scenic highlight of our shore excursions.

Frankly I don't understand why more people don't do it. I also don't understand why people

are so willing to pay BIG bucks to Atlantis to use their beach, or water park or aquarium.

I agree with you though, Atlantis is very impressive.

Another neat experience was "cruise ship canyon" as you walk off the ship and are

placed between, in our case, 3 huge cruise ships. Wow ! Looking up you realize how massive these ships are.

Continuing to enjoy your opus.;) Best to all.

Thank you Richard for your input. Your right about the walk back, the temperature as it was that day would have made for a very pleasant walk.

It is quite interesting to see Pride's decor, compared to her sistership Miracle, same deck plan, but a very different look. Pride looks brighter and more elaborate, whereas Miracle is subtle and serene. It would be interesting to compare to the other 4 ships in the class, aside from the obvious funnel differences on the 2 Costa Cruise Lines ships

Last year we went on the Pride and the year before. I see some changes have been made since we were on. The Serenity deck for one has changed.
