JPH814 Posted March 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2011 When you are anchored off a port that requires a tender - like Belize- what is open on board. I intend to stay onboard and not go into port while "in" Belize. Will the pool be open? The casino? Spa? etc.? I know that usually in a port manyof these things are closed. Mostly everything, the Lido Deck will still be in full swing! Try to find a copy of the FunTimes for your ship for the Belize day; it'll list everything that's open. Carnival understands that Belize is not a favorite port, and realizes that many people will stay onboard.:)
pe4all Posted March 12, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2011 Casino will be closed - pretty much everything else open - pool, slides, etc. (as long as it is not too windy) The spa will run specials that day, so keep your eyes open if you want a cheaper price on something. huxlemo Posted March 12, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2011 I love staying on board while everyone else is in port. I feel like I have the whole ship to myself! :D It is very quiet and relaxing.
mrpayroll Posted March 12, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2011 The shops on board are usually ( always? ) closed while in port. Also the MDR will not serve lunch while in port.
elcuchio24 Posted March 12, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2011 Last time we were there the casino and shops were closed, as if we were in port. Since you are still in Belizian waters I believe the same rules apply to the ship as if it were at a dock.
