As of Feb 4, Jewel has a new CD. It's their entertainment director, Kathy ???, an English woman.

i am heading back to Adventure this august, we had Richard Spacey last august on adventure, i would love to have him agian, any chance?

 

I'm hoping for the same thing. We had Richard Spacey last September as well, and would love to have him as our CD again.

Ok, here you go with a complete list. I compiled this by searching the board for the last report from each ship. The "as of" date is the last date I could find with this person reported as being on the ship. Some of these are 6-8 weeks old now so I am sure some changed. Needs clarification/updating:

 

1. It was reported that Peter Benfield was scheduled to be on Brilliance, but no one has confirmed.

 

2. It is believed that radiance will change when it comes out of drydock. Need confirmation from someone when radiance starts sailing again.

 

3. Reports came in that Graham Seymour was on Navigator 1/22, however a 2/4 report has Ashley Kerr. Another reports says Graham will be back 2/25. Not sure what has happened or when Graham will really be back.

 

4. We need a current Empress update.

Does anyone know how long Becky Thompson is supposed to be on Brilliance? I keep hearing good things about her. Wish I could get Richard Spacey again. He is the best CD I've ever had,on either RCL or Carnival.

Just ret'd from Brilliance 2/3-2/13. Becky Thompson was cruise director. She stated that she was going on "holiday" at the end of our cruise. When she comes back she will be going to Mariner. Sorry, I don't know who will replace her on Brilliance. She was a teriffic cruise director, one of the best.

We just got off of EOS 2/12.

Clodagh O'Connor is still there. In fact, I asked her how long she would be on the ship, her reply 'They'd have to take me off kicking & screaming.' :D

 

She is a very nice & very funny lady!

Has Matt Sole come back? I sure hope so. I have read some comments that some people did not like him. He was our CD on the Radiance last July going to Alaska. I thought he was great!

So Richard Spacey is now on holiday. Sorry to hear that Becky is going to be leaving Brilliance.What is up with Brilliance? It seems that all they do with CD's on that ship,is float them around. Do the pax scare them all off? :) How can anyone do a really good job,if they're always temporary. A good CD gets to know his/her ship,the crew,and how everything should work.Guess for my cruise on BOS,in April. Like my grandma used to say,it'll be like getting a pig in a poke. In other words,who knows who? :)

John Blair may or may not be around. I did not list him as being on holiday as I have not seen him confirmed anywhere for a long time so I don't know if it is holiday or he left.

Carley is also a really awesome cruise director, very personable.

 

One thing to note, Even though a cruise director says they will be back on a certain ship and date, it almost ALWAYS changes due to company changes, people retiring etc, etc, etc. Also even though they "RETIRE" alot of them seem to come back out of boredom!

There is a girl on the threads,right now,doing a live review from Brilliance. I asked her who was the CD,and she said Bill Brubaker (wasn't positive of the last name). Perhaps she meant Bill Brunkhorst? Wonder if he is just filling in? Has anyone else had this Bill as CD?
