Triumph dry dock

No there isnt any place to see. Host Mach could probably find it, but Id expect general like replacing worn carpets and linens. I hope they put in more eating venues as this ship is lacking compared to others. Even little Ecstasy has more choices

thats my guess anyway.

I am curious too. Looking at booking a cruise next spring break on her out of Galveston. Several co-workers have been on this ship and have enjoyed their cruises!

I'll make my decision soon - plan on taking my dd16 on this one with us!

Triumph has the Asian Wok, Deli, 2 MDR's, the main buffet, 2 other buffet's at the front pool area, one of which serves up the Food of the day from a different country each day, Pizza and Hamburger grill.... How can you say it doesn't have as many places as Ecstasy? It has the exact same number

All Carnival ships have two MDRs. The two areas up front, aft of the pool do not have the Chicken rotissie which is what I miss when Im on Triumph specifically. With the little ears of corn, macaroni and cheese etc.

True ..Triumph has two areas for the same grilled stuff.

It could easily have a Sur Mer upstairs as that area is totally wasted and could be made like Conquest. .. or a pay restaurant, but Id perfer Sur mer.

Asian wok is long gone and now Triumph has Mongolian BBQ.

Im hoping for some additional food venue .. I probably wouldnt get it, but I can hope for something new??!!

I like the way they make the chicken .. I always get it during lunch on Ecstasy. .. just me. Triumph doesnt have it.

Adding either the Rotisserie chicken or a Sur Mer would be great. Hope to try the Mongolian BBQ too...never did get there on the Conquest. Could be they will just spruce her up a little! No matter what, can't wait to see her in Galveston.

Are you sure Fire? I thought the Spirit Class only had one main dining room. That's what the Carnival site says. I have never been on that class but that's what their deck plans show.

You are probably correct .. I still have not been on a spirit class .. and now we will have one less choice when spirit goes to australia.

I think it is September 22nd. We are sailing on the Triumph on September 17th thru the 22nd and we don't see any sailings after that date for a couple of weeks. I read some where last month (can't remember where) that this was the date for the dry dock.

Triumph has the noodle kitchen, and a small sushi bar near the casino.

Ecstasy doesn't have Sur Mer either

Triumph has many things that Ecstasy doesn't have also.... apples to oranges

I had asked on the Carnival site about the dry dock and was told although it was not confirmed yet they suggested they were going to add a serenity deck as it was one of the few ships that did not have one yet. Hope so! My favorite spot to chill!!!

Food wise, I cant think of a thing. It only has one buffet area, so food wise the buffet is more crowded. Conquest went to two buffet areas because its didnt work well on Triumph. Other than two areas for the grill, what else does it have food wise than Ecstasy? .. other than more crowded buffet?

I still like Triumph but think the food choices are minimal at this time compared to some other ships.

If the Triumph is moving to Galveston, does anyone know which ship is coming to New Orleans?

Ecstasy will be coming to New Orleans for a couple of months to do 4 and 5 day cruises... Then it leaves for Port Canaveral and New Orleans gets Elation in its place to do 4 and 5 day trips for good... Conquest is also coming back home to New Orleans where it belongs. It will be doing 7 day eastern and western Caribbean trips.

I can confirm the Spirit class ships have only one two-level MDR with entrances on decks 2 and 3.
