Platinum Drinks - Grand Princess

I have read that as a Platinum I can go to One5 on Grand Princess for drinks at a certain time of day. Are these drinks free/reduced price/limited in any way - and can my other half come even though its her first cruise?

Unless it's changed the "drinks" amounted to one (normally umbrella type) drink with a reduced price. We never found anything we normally drink on the reduced price menu.

It really is not that great of a perk.

The food is free, but so is the food at the buffet. And the drinks are 3.99 which I think is about 1.50 off the usual price. If you are someone who normally orders 2 or more drinks then you should just buy a double for 7.50 which is cheaper and available on nearly all drinks all the time.

And your friend can come in too. In fact anyone who just says they are staying in a suite will be let in because they don't check.
