Do you have any new info on Captain Rune Johnsen. last I saw was a post from early March that he had put in a request but was still waiting on Miami.

and when I said good-bye to him early on the morning of April 1st (watched him dock Monarch in PC for the last time :(), he still hadn't heard but promised me he would "stay on top of things".

I am hoping he will be back on June 16. Nothing against Capt Tommy, but have sailed with him on our last two cruises and miss Johnny. Thinking he should be back on our cruise or the one before. They usually do 10 week rotations I think.

Hi do You knows who Will be The captain on The oasis on august 31

 

Aug 31st is the rotation date. Capt Selvag should be signing back on. The problem with this ship is that Capt Dahlgren has been working on the 'Sunshine' class (now Quantum and Anthem), he might be done at sea for a while as he's supposed to go back to Germany to resume overseeing the construction. So on June 22, I'm not sure if Dahlgren will be back. Selvag has been on long enough to be moved and sometimes the new reliever may not be scheduled to start at the end of a normal 10 week rotation.

 

You'll have to confirm for me who your master was!

see post 1265. Not sure if Capt Dahlgren will be back in June, if he is then you'll have Capt Patrik Dahlgren.

 

The last I heard was that he'll be back on June 29. I've been out of touch (on VI from April 17th until this morning and on NV tomorrow). I'll call him to confirm when I get home next week.

it was confirmed to me in a private email from a highly respected CC member who has over 10,000 posts. Capt Wright simply needed to master again to maintain his master mariner's license. He now wants to be able to fill in for ANY cruise line who may need someone in a pinch. Hope he doesn't answer the phone call from Carnival. :eek:

 

It is funny to read your posts guys, after so many cruise, you still don't get it!
