Airport Transfers Ft. Lauderdale

What is the best way to get from the Ft. Lauderdale airport to the cruise ship terminal? We are on our first cruise in November on Carnival Freedom. Does Carnival have a shuttle service or is it cheaper to take a taxi or other means of transportation.

 

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

taxi, its only about $10 or $12 at most plus tip.

Definitely, taxi. It is more like $15 plus tip. But with cruise line transfers, you generally have to wait for the bus and it makes several stops at the airport.

The cruise lines tend to charge $17 - $19 per person for their transfers -- and you have to wait for the bus to fill up.

Same thing at the end of the cruise.

So take a taxi -- both ways.

There are lots of taxis at the airport and the cruise terminal.

I'll chime in and say that a Taxi is the way to go as well. Cheaper and no waiting around - unlike the transfers.

Transfers are per person.

 

Taxi can take up to three people for the same price. Once accually 4 of us piled in the taxi.
