We like free style dining, and wonder if any would comment on Carnivals Liberty version . Is there a long wait time.

We will be sailing on the Liberty in Feb. 2012 I am wondering what Early Dining 6:00 p.m. means? Is this for the main dining room? Thanks for any advice.

Most cruise ships offer what is called Traditional Dining and Anytime dining. With TD, there are two seatings, first or early about 6pm and second or late about 8pm. If you select this, you will eat at the same time, at the same table, with the same table mates and the same waitstaff for the entire cruise. You may choose to go to a specialty restaurant or buffet on any evening.

With AD, it is more like eating at a restaurant at home you show up and as seated as soon as a table is available. You will probably be asked if you want to share a table. If you say yes, you will be seated at a larger table with others. If no, you will be at a table for two. Some ships allow you to make reservations.
