Help fll pre-cruise hotel in feb

Looking for a nice pre-cruise hotel for Feb 23. Usually stay at Harbor Beach Marriot but prices are over $500. Embassy Suites has no availabilty. Any other suggestions. Needs to be clean and must have a place to eat within walking distrance.

Right now pricing is very high for Jan and Feb. Looking later might give you a price break, if you are into using discount sites. If you need to book now what is your budget? Not much under $200 comparable to the two you mention.

When/where did you look? I'm seeing rooms there for the 23rd for $349. Not cheap, but not $500.

If you are prepared to take a taxi to the port you could possibly get the Westin Diplomat Resort in Hollywood Beach for around $129 with Priceline for that date. We have, but then it is post cruise. Pre-cruise we try to stay nearer Port Everglades.

Renaissance on 17th St and Riverside on Las Olas Blvd would be perfect. Best Western Oceanside around the corner from Harbor Beach Marriott gets good reviews.

Thanks everyone for all your replies so far. I saw that the Harbor Beach Marriott went down but would like to save under 225. Any information on the Hyatt Place South or Hyatt Summerfield. I have read these are newer hotels. Only concern here is how close dining is.

Does the Marriott have award availability? Buying the points might be cheaper than booking for cash.
