Are you saying that the speciality coffee and room service wine were included in the package? The Celebrity package description does not list coffee as being included and regarding in-cabin drinks it says "...do not include beverages sold in gift shops, mini-bar or room service. "

...

1800- Glass of wine while dressing for dinner............$10.00

...

2215- Specialty Coffee..........................................$ 8.00

This was explained several post previously, but for those who don't read all of the posts on this thread...

Hello Bobby Dee - Yes, it was answered earlier, and I was answering it, too. Just like you are now answering it again. Don't really understand, given that you are giving your own re-answer, for the snarky "for those who don't read all of the posts on this thread." Seems a bit like a story about a pot and a kettle.

Guesses?? My Guess would be that a repeat in the current year would be unlikely. I'm not sure if Celebrity would want people to think they could count on this coming up often or on a regular basis. But that is just a guess and no one knows for sure.

WRONG guess ... Celebrity's bringing it back for cruises booked between March 15, 2013 and April 15, 2013 and this would apply to cruises departing June through September 2013.

Celebrity ROCKS!

Because of my job and the need to drive sober when at home I seldom drink much. On a cruise I can walk to my cabin and no one ever asks me to steer the ship. So you might say I go overboard...almost literally.

A typical day starts with a cappuccino or two. By 11 it's a bloody Mary. With lunch a Margarita or a beer. Around 4:30 ,it's 2 or 3 martinis. With dinner at six, three glasses of wine and a specialty coffee with dessert as well as a sparkling water throughout.

Then it's on to the casino for a cognac or jack and coke. At the show maybe a vodka and tonic or a cordial. Following that it's to the disco or karaoke and some specialty rum drinks.

Finally an espresso at cafe baccio and a water for the room at night. On beach days we also take liter bottles of water to the beach. I kept track for a while and see that it would have cost me130 to 150 per day before tip.

At the discount rate of $49/day I figure I'm way ahead until I have to pay for the liver transplant.

LOL! My wife and I are going to book a 2014 Med Cruise and its a no brainer for us. I just hope we can get a 123 deal or similar offer from the TA. Here's a typical vacation day for me (vegas, Europe, it doesn't matter)

6-9 a.m 4-7 cups of coffee--I'm wired

8-9 am 1-2 Bloody Marys--to take the edge off the coffee

one or two bottles of water to keep me hydrated

9am-6pm beer in hand--It gets hot (trust me its more than a few)

one or two bottles of water

Dinner 3-4 glasses of wine--so I can feel classy

After dinner....Beer or if I'm feeling frisky an after dinner drink such as a glass or three of Scotch or Limoncello!

Repeat it all over again the next day

My wife is similar but she likes more of the fancy frozen drinks.

Tommy, why wait for a 2014 med cruise. We're doing a med cruise this summer on the Silhouette, I need a drinking buddy!

Tempt me not. I'm easy. Love Drinking buddies on Vacations. Sadly (can't believe I said sadly) we have a two week Italy vacation booked in August. (Amalfi, Naples, Capri, Sorrento and Rome).

We are doing the 11day Greek/Turkey Med Cruise out of Civitavecchia in June or Sept of 2014 (assuming its available in 2014). Come join us on the reflection. I'll buy you a beer on board!

The return promo starting tomorrow is only good in cruises through Sept. 13th of this year? I thought it was going to go through the end of March 2014!

I just booked a cruise on Constellation in Dec. We are getting the classic drink pkg included in the 123 deal. DH and I like champagne and martinis though, and those cost more than the $8 per drink allowed in the classic. Do they charge you the difference in price, or should we just upgrade to the Premium pkg?

you need to upgrade to Premium.

if you have the classic package, then you pay full price for any drink over $8, and any beer over $5.

With the Premium if you order anything over $12, then you only pay the difference.

You have to pay the entire amount. You only pay the difference if you have the premium and go over price point. Calculated the drinks and read many menus and decided to pay the extra 160 total and got the premium for DH and I.

No worries is my mantra. If I want a 5, 10, or 12 drink... No prob.

Greetings

Today I went to the market and they had beautiful heirloom tomatoes for $6.99/LB. They are just tomatoes, so I took the little sticky tag from the $0.99/LB tomatoes, stuck it on the heirlooms and went to the register. The cashier must have known because she gave me a funny look, but I got my tomatoes for only $0.99/LB. The heirloom tomatoes are a great bargain.

Good Sailing

Tom

You will surely go to hell!:D

Have been reading a lot of threads about upgrading from classic to premium. We have the classic package from the 123Go promo and are going to upgrade to premium. Many people have said that it can be done now. I was told that we had to wait until we are on board. I decided today that I don't want to wait until we are on board so i just called Celebrity. They told me that since it is a promotion that it can ONLY be done on board because it was a promo and only they have the system to do the upgrade. Seems odd to me. Anyone else have this issue?

When I booked with a Celebrity rep he said I could upgrade right away. He added it to the system and the booking email I got has me listed as WAV-7 Premium Package. The additional charge has not yet been added to my reservation info online, but he said it would take 2-3 weeks due to the backup from the promo. That was exactly one week ago. I was also told that could be added later too but still prior to the cruise.

But what if the Classic package is free, using the 123 program? Then NO payment is ever made for it. If you cancel it, then buy the premium pkg, then you would have to pay full price and lose the free promo. Doesn't make sense to me.

That's what Celebrity told me when I called. Since it wasn't purchased they have no amount to upgrade so it has to be done on board. Oh well! No worries! Just preferred to do it before we sail but waiting won't hurt.

A big Aussie welcome to everyone and we hope your stay in Australia before the big float, regardless of how long, is fun and enjoyable.

For all coming to Australia for the first time who enjoy a nice drop of rum may I suggest a shot of our famous Bundaberg Rum. There are several strengths and flavours so just go for it. We look forward to meeting as many of you as we can and share some stories.

Sydney and surrounds is a lovely area for you to adventure. The greater Sydney area consist of 656 suburbs all of which have their own unique culture and historic areas. Public and private transport is easily accessible so we encourage you to get out and see as much as you can.

Cheers

We booked a sky suite before the 123 promotion.. We paid $500 deposit. 123Go came out 3 weeks later. We called and added classic drink package under 123GO promotion at no additional charge. Did not to have to cancel and rebook. Cabin price had not gone up, no additional charge. We upgraded at that time for $11.50 per person per day. It was truly.......1.....2.....3.....GO. It was very easy for us. I really have to think that it all depends on WHO you get on the phone when you call. If you are not getting the answers you expected to get, ask to speak to a supervisor. If they won't let you speak to a supervisor ( I can't even imagine that scenario), then hang up and call back.
