Station4 Posted November 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2011 Hi Everyone I'm looking to book a RCI cruise in the end of Feb (hopefully the Allure). My wife is unable to attend due to work but I have promised my niece and nephew this cruise. They are 16 and 18 years of age. How do you go about booking room/rooms for 3 people. I can see me having to pay twice the price for my room as a single. Would consider a room for 3 but feel these kids are tall and I worry about being cramped. Any suggestions and thoughts on other cruise lines also Cheers Al
paul929207 Posted November 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2011 In addition to a regular cabin, you could consider a mini or full suite.
CruiserBruce Posted November 22, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 22, 2011 You need to book a single cabin with 3 people, as no cruiseline allows a minor (or, more typically, someone under 21) to be assigned a cabin without an adult also assigned to that cabin. So, you will book a cabin with two standard fares, and a thir person fare, which is usually much less than a standard fare.
1025cruise Posted November 23, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 23, 2011 Also, don't forget for the 16 year old to have notarized letters from both parents giving you permission to take him/her out of the country.
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 23, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 23, 2011 Look carefully at their cabin plans to find a room that can sleep the three of you. Ideally, a suite would be great. Keith
