Excellent, informative review! Thank you for taking the time to write it!

You're welcome! I hope you're enjoying it.

I see you're going on the Carnival Dream soon. We sailed on her for our honeymoon. I actually wrote a review about our trip if you're interested. The link is in my siggy.

I grabbed some stuffed cornbread, baked fish in citrus sauce, mashed potatoes, and some ham.

Cornbread! LOL :D I'm sure you remember my rant about that. ;) What did you think of it? Did you like it?

I'll have to make it a point to check out the cooking demonstration next time.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a great review and post all the pics - we sail on the Freedom 3 weeks Saturday so am getting really pumped reading this :D:D:D

If you get a chance, can you let me know - is there a Indian/Curry station on the Lido? I've read different things about this. The Splendor has an amazing one.....

Great review navybaby!

We were on the ship for 14 days, this cruise, and the 8 day before it, I ate EVERY single day from the Tandoori station and it is FABulous! Its right at the lido bar on starboard side. I love Indian, and for me, was the perfect lunch every day. Also saved the hassle of the buffet, so much easier.

On another note, one night at dinner I really didnt fancy anything at all on the menu. I asked our waitress, please could I just have a plate of "anything" from the crew canteen of curry. I had a banquet arriver five minutes later and it was YUM!!!

Also, I asked at the station for fresh coriander which I love sprinkled over my curry, no problem, the chefs are really good!

Thank you for taking all the time and consideration into posting your review. It is great, and I am enjoying it very much! :D

The cornbread does look a bit weird! Stuff corn into bread and call it cornbread....LOL. Just saw a minute ago on the news.....Buffalo Wing Cupcake.....a cornbread muffin with bleu cheese frosting and a wing set on top, ewwww....to each his own I guess!

Thankfully it's gotten a little better since you posted about it. The bread part around the corn is actually corn bread. So now, it's officially stuffed cornbread, not just bread stuffed with corn. lol :D

What exactly happens at the past guest party? Free drinks?

Yes, there are free drinks and appetizers at the past guest party. They also have a live band, they raffle off free stuff (this time it was a dinner for 2 at the steakhouse), and then they show a video where you shout for all the ships you've been on.

Thank you for your sweet comments and confirming there is actually a Tandoori station.

I saw the Buffalo Wing Cupcake on a blog the other day. Doesn't sound appetizing to me. Yuck!

Great review and pictures. We are leaving on the Freedom Sunday. Do you happen to know if they had, one of the MUSIC asian coverbands on board. They had MUSIC MOTION on our last cruise and they were great.

I, too, am interested in this answer! We are big fans of the talented "MUSIC _______" groups we've enjoyed on many cruises. We're hoping for another great Asian band on the Freedom in August!

I don't remember seeing them, but I just glanced at the Fun Times and there was "Party Music with Music Highlights". That might be what you're looking for.

Thank you so much for your great review. We will be on the Freedom starting on the 19th and I check every day to see more of your posts.

Thank you for posting menus and of course your Food porn pictures. I can not wait to get down south.

Loved your Route 1 sign. Living in Maine I have been to the other end many times and it's a must do to see the other end.

We went to the cooking demo on the Valor last year and everyone that loves food needs to go. I was choosen from the audience to do the teremuso piping.

That's it. Hopefully for us they are still on board. Thanks
