how long to get refund from Princess on cancelled cruise

we were suppose to cruise on the Carribean Princess March 18 but the cruise was cancelled. Princess are suppose to refund us post cruise and taxes to get our flight changed to a different flight

we have sent all required info to Princess

when should we expect our money back?

I don't know about Princess, but when I cancelled a Carnival one last year, more than 60 days out, it took almost two weeks.

Did Princess cancel your cruise? Or did you have to cancel? If you cancelled the cruise and have Princess ins., you will get your money back very fast from when you filed. We cancelled our cruise and mailed our ins. papers on 4/4. Got an E-mail to day saying the check is comming . They said in two work days it will be mailed.

I was on the March 11th cruise out of San Juan and have my refund. So you should be getting it really soon.

We had already paid for our June cruise prior to final payment date. We then canceled and rebooked the cruise to take advantage of a reduced fare available to new bookings only. Originally Princess told our TA that a refund of the difference would be forthcoming in 5 to 7 business days. When two weeks had passed with no refund our TA checked with Princess. Princess told the TA that even though the refund had been processed, it takes 2 to 6 weeks for Princess to actually return the funds. We did finally get it after about 4 weeks. It seemed like a long process to us and we never could figure out why Princess takes so long to return funds.

Especially when they are able to process charges within a couple of days.

This has been brought up before. Princess may issue the refund in a few days, the delay is more often at the processor and bank level (for CC refunds). As part of anti-fraud procedures (or so they say) it can take up to 60 days for the bank to process the credit, especially for large amounts when multiple credits hit at the same time.

 

Princess has no control of the process once they issue the credit request.

 

This is why some people see it in days, other in weeks.
