SO THANK YOU AHEAD OF TIME ALL........:p Fast background 4 of us ages 14,10 BIRTHDAY CRUISE for me soon to be 37, and 39.. Going on the Carnival Fantasy. 1. I know we can bring soda But.... what is the liter amount and how many per person? 2. If you are able to carry wine "over 21" can you still have soda also? <~~ I know a ton to carry but once we dump it off I have less cost.;) 3. If we have TA locked luggage will they pop or break the lock To check? 4. Can you hold your medications in a baggie out in the open so you see them at all times or do you have to have them in your carry-on? Sometimes I need them right away thats why I ask this?? 5. For my boys in MDR is a dress shirt and nice pants ok for this.. The husband wants to wear Dressy Hawien shirts <~~spelling sorry Thoughts. If you are able to carry wine "over 21" can you still have soda also? Yes <~~ I know a ton to carry but once we dump it off I have less cost.;) 3. If we have TA locked luggage will they pop or break the lock To check? No, they will call you down to open it in front of them. 4. Can you hold your medications in a baggie out in the open so you see them at all times or do you have to have them in your carry-on? Sometimes I need them right away thats why I ask this?? The ships security is not like a plane they don't care where you put things. 5. For my boys in MDR is a dress shirt and nice pants ok for this.. Rare nydney1 Posted June 4, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 4, 2012 Instead of packing and taking on a plane, we stop at a walmart/target/grocery right before we board the ship and buy what we need there.
fun!melis Posted June 4, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted June 4, 2012 Great idea.. We will be driving the day before and staying a local hotel in which there are plenty of shopping near by. We could get all the drinks and such then. THANK YOU! Instead of packing and taking on a plane, we stop at a walmart/target/grocery right before we board the ship and buy what we need there. CRUISE4JANE Posted June 4, 2012 #6 Share Posted June 4, 2012 I don't think the OP meant where to buy the sodas, etc. She wants to know what she can bring onboard.
firefly333 Posted June 4, 2012 #7 Share Posted June 4, 2012 OP only TSA agents have the keys to TSA locks .. cruise employees are not TSA agents, so they do not have keys . .. just to elaborate. My roomie locked her keys inside her luggage accidently is how I found this out ..they had to cut the lock off.
golfadj Posted June 4, 2012 #8 Share Posted June 4, 2012 Dont check your meds as you might need them so carry with you onto ship. Can take hours to get your luggage delivered

tattoos Posted June 10, 2012 #12 Share Posted June 10, 2012 On one of my cruises, my luggage arrived late...the lock was broken and a note placed in my luggage advising me that it had been searched (I had all my snorkel gear in it). I pack all my prescription meds in my carry-on. Last month we sailed on the Liberty and I packed a shrink-wrapped 6 pack of water in my carry-on and my luggage was searched and the Security person jammed her fingers into the plastic and removed the middle bottles to inspect them. When you are ready to disembark at Half Moon Cay, go to the Platinum concierge at the Pursers Desk and they will have someone escort you off the ship. Make sure all your party is with you and ready to go. It took us maybe 5 minutes to get on the tender.
fromthebus Posted June 10, 2012 #13 Share Posted June 10, 2012 Hey there, Your carry on can be 16" high x 24" wide no length restriction. And yes you get to get on to HMC early. Aproximatly 6 Months earlier than I. Lucky! Have fun! The Andrew
Chigirlcruzin Posted June 10, 2012 #14 Share Posted June 10, 2012 Do we as VIP get first tendering off to Half moon cay? I'm guessing you're VIP because you're booked in a suite. If so, no, you do not get priority tendering to HMC. You are only VIP for boarding. If you are VIP due to platinum status, then, yes, you would get priority tendering in HMC. And oh thanks for the information and funny yeah 6 months earlier than you lol Nancy here...I would love to meet up with you after I get off of work on the Friday before you leave. I get off at 5pm and work in the Mt. Pleasant area. Was your hotel in Mt. Pleasant? I cant remember where you were staying. We could meet up for birthday celebrations at Vickery's or Red's Icehouse on Shem Creek if y'all are staying in Mt. P. Otherwise, I can think of an alternative. :)
