Wondering about the buckets of beer...included in the 25% discount???

 

It was an awesome cruise! I didn't purchase a bucket of beer myself, but would assume this would qualify for 25% off because when they ring it in it is over $10.

Did you by any chance talk to anyone who purchased the program but whose roommate is a non-drinker?

 

My situation is that 2 of us are drinkers, but the 3rd person in our room is not, and she would never pay for a drinks package. Would they just charge her for it anyway against her will? If she made a stink, would the 2 of us drinkers just be shut out of the program altogether?

I haven't come across that, I only met one other couple who had purchased the program. The bar manager is who would be signing up up, and I think if you explain they might make an exception?

I'd like to try it, because it would be more convenient than buying Bon Voyage and going back to the room to make myself a drink. I liked it a lot when I sailed on Celebrity (though theirs included bottled water).

Two people...one from Victory and one from Splendor have said there was a 15 drink max/limit. I could see if one ship had bad info, but both?

Yes. It still would be cheaper for me. We spent almost over $100.00 a day in the drinks of the day, beer, our regular alcoholic drinks and the coffee shops.:o I would rather prepaid as much as I can before the cruise and drinking is a big expense. After all, we are on a cruise to PARTY AND NOT WORRY ABOUT GETTING HOME.:cool::D

Just read the flyer AGAIN and i do not see where it says NO BUCKETS INCLUDED. I do see where it says only 1 drink at a time but the way they have worded everything in the flyer is very confusing. :confused: So i guess i will not know the answer until i go in January or someone on here actually tries it. Just dont know why you could buy a bottle of wine or champagne for 25% discount and not be able to get a bucket of beer with the same discount.:confused:

The package says that it includes drinks $10 or lower, but I'd like to clarify that they mean before the 15 percent gratuity is added. Otherwise, those drinks would be over $10. Thanks in advance.

I don't know why anyone would want to pay for a bucket of beer? Even at 25% off, you would get about $7.50 off that means you would have to buy like 6 buckets just to break even on the price of the bar package.

Why not just order one beer at a time and not pay anything extra for the beer. You would just need to order one beer after another. You could ask for them not to be opened.

You do get a receipt for every drink with the full price, then a line under that says "my awesome 100% discount" that discounts the price. I'm not sure about match play

6.5 drinks a day minimum to make it worth it. And so many people say they couldn't drink enough to make it worth it but if you drink:

(1) mimosa at breakfast

(1) drink at lunch

(2) drinks while laying out reading on deck

(1) glass of wine with dinner

And (2) drinks after dinner in the bar, casino, comedy club, or my personal favorite- the piano bar

There's your 7 (6.5) drinks {based on tropical/ froo froo drinks at about $7.50}

 

As long as service is timely and the drinks still taste the same, this sounds like a great deal to me!

 

I completely agree with u...my husband and I completely took this way of thinking and think its worth it.
