Oh, deep sigh, myself for being on the Radiance in the South Pacific.

Gina.... why are we not on this cruise with them?!? lol

Pcwalton, you're making me "homesick" for the Radiance. :) Great job, so far!

Ooooh! I love our balcony!:D

It looks so funny to see your cute wife in a sweatshirt since it is 91 degrees here and I know you are heading to Hawaii! I guess I will have to keep Vancouver temps in mind when I pack for our cruise.

No need for a sweatshirt. We went down today to see the ship leave and just had a tee shirt and crop pants etc on. 20C++ and sunny here. Unless you are really used to heat, then you maybe cold??

20 C is 68 degrees F here. We were out tonight and couldn't drive with the windows down because it was too cold (only 85F here tonight. Brrrrrr......;))

And why aren't we on this cruise and continuing on to Sydney?

Another deep sigh here. I wish I were on board, too.

For now we will have to see the pictures and wish we were there. It was definitely fun with you all down under.

Morning all,

Looks like there will be more netbook time and little or no phone for now. I am getting no cell connection at all, not even phone. Maybe location, I will try again it other parts of the ship later.

Last night it was a fun filled sail away party. Marie enjoyed the dancing as I manned a place at the rail :p

It was a beautiful evening,a little chill in the air so jacket were required unless you were in the conga line. The celebrity ship left first and then we headed out about 30 minutes later.

When leaving a water plane took off between the ships. At first I thought it was pretty gutsy then I realized its no different than taking off between a copy of building as we were really not that close together. But it did make for a great photo op. :D

We arrived at the MTD desk about five minutes to 7. It was extremely busy and they did make a minor attempt to shuffle us over to a group table but our reservation was a table for two so we wait a couple minutes to be seated. All in all a quick process.

Dinner for me was the same thing I have odered every first night, onion tart and rare prime rib. No need to mess with a perfect union.

There was not any salmon on the menu so Marie had the chicken breast. Sorry not much in the way for food porn pictures. To be honest (at least for me) many of the pictures of the food posting on here do not look any where as appealing online as they do in person.

we had a nice window seat and great service from the waiter (Ashley forn India) and assistant waiter (he never introduced himself and moved to quick for me to see his name tag :o).

There was only one show that night at 7:45 so we missed that. We were very tired especially Marie as we were up at 4am and for her 8am is early. :D Didn't stop her from finding the casino and giving her night contribution to the gambling goods in the slot machines. All in all a near perfect first day.

Hey, that is my bottle

See this is my point about the food pictures. To me this looks like someone took some romaine and smeared hand lotion on it but Marie said it was a great caesar salad. But I promise I will try to get somemore food pictures.

Ooo 1602' date=' we will be in 1600 on the Brilliance in March. Any chance you could reach around the divider and snap a couple balcony pics for me? It should be pretty much the same.

Have a great cruise and thanks for the review.[/quote']

OK, I can hear it now, "Man Overboard" and everyone will be taking about the idiot trying to take voyeur pictures of people on a balcony they pitched him overboard. :D

I'll see if I can catch them in and ask if I can snap a picture or two.

LOL, we are from Seattle just south of you so we are also used to this weather. But with the ship moving on the water that wind did bite a little so a sweatshirt or windbreaker made the evening more enjoyable. :)

Today opened with blue skies and some wisps of cloud. Still too chilly to spend any meaningful time outside. I think in the captain’s announcement he said it was 59 degrees. A little choppy too more due to direction of travel so we are getting some bouncing around, saw a few of the bags hanging at the railing but nothing too worrisome.

Beautiful out here on the balcony, hopefully in another day I can make more use of it.

I said I would take some pictures of the cabin so here you go. Plenty of room and in great shape. Our cabin attendant is named Joel and is from Marie’s home country the Philippines. So far he had done a great job of keeping the cabin clean and the ice bucket full.
