OMG! The Upgrade Fairy Does Exisit

Well I cant believe it. After numerous cruises and reading posts of other people saying the upgrade fairy has called them, it finally happended to me.

 

Leaving on Monday on the Carnival Imagination. Originally booked under a very low fare with a casino deal for an interior room on Deck 6 (Upper). Today we recieved the call for $250 total, not per person, we can upgrade to the Junior Suite on the Verandah deck! OMG! Not only did we take it but it comes with the VIP perks. I know a junior suite on the imagination is just like having a regular balcony on any other ship, but now I can officialy say I have been in one and it was part of an upgrade.

Congratulations - but you're talking about the Upsell fairy and not the Upgrade fairy. There are no VIP perks for suites on Carnival except priority embarkation and debarkation.

Just talked to my online TA to book a third cabin on the Liberty. Six girl friends going. We have linked reservations for dining but when I asked to be unlinked for possibilities of upgrades she said that couldn't be done. Anyone else have this experience or know if it is possible?

Congrats! That's an awesome upsell! I have only been called once (actually it was my cabinmate who was called) and they were offering an ocean suite but they wanted something like $300 apiece for 3 of us to upgrade from a deluxe ocean view, and we happily turned it down.
