Kid Specialty Dining

We will be cruising with granddaughters, age 2 & 5. Is there any reduced price in specialty restaurants?

Yes, as it says in your booklet or on the website, half price or free if they eat from the kid's menu.

Lot's of info on here and NCL's web site. If kids eat of the regular menu in the specialties it is half price. Kids menu is free, i.e. chicken fingers, mac and cheese etc.

Actually the 2 yr old will be free even if she eats off the specialty menu. When we went to Teppanyaki my son got the chicken and noodle dish but not the soup/salad and his food was free.

Our then 3 year old (on our last 2 cruises) ate for free no matter what she picked (regular menu or childs menu). ;)

Children 3-years old and younger always

eat for free. In our specialty restaurants,

children 4- to 12-years old can choose from

a complimentary Kids’ Menu or from the

restaurant’s Specialty Kids’ Menu for half price.

 

So I take that as 3 years old is ALWAYS free no matter what.

 

If they are 4-12 years old AND order off the kids menu, then it's free.

 

If they are 4-12 years old and order off the restaurants menu, then it's half price.

 

Does this sound right to everyone? I would kind of like to know as well since our daughter has now turned 4 and we will be cruising next month. :)

Your right about the pricing. One thing you can not book kids ahead of time. That stressed me out but we booked 2 of our can not miss specialty dinners (Cagneys and Tempenakki) when we boarded and had no problems at all.

 

The other 2 we did we just walked up and got right in as soon as they had sat the reservation people.

 

No problem getting in at all.

 

Watch your bill and make sure they do it right. They overcharged us for the brazillian steak house the last night. We didn't catch it until later.
